ITINERARY

Day 1 – Monday – November 28: Departure Depart on an overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Day 2 – Tuesday – November 29: Arrival – Tel Aviv - Jaffa Upon arrival at Ben Gurion airport you will be met and assisted by a Coral Travel & Tours representative at the airport. Meet your guide and drive to Jaffa. Jaffa has been known in the bible as Joppa and is considered the world’s oldest port and the place where the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Jaffa is associated with the deeds of Peter. Tabitha was resur-rected by Peter in Jaffa (Acts 9: 35-43). Peter went to Caesarea to convert Cornelius after the vision at the house of Simon the Tanner (Acts 10: 1-23). Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tel-Aviv. Day 3 – Wednesday – November 30: Jaffa – Caesarea - Mt. Carmel – Megiddo – Sea of Galilee After our Israeli breakfast you will spend few hours serving the needy. Then drive via the Sharon plain to Caesarea. Caesarea was the seat of the Roman Procurator of the Judea in the time of Christ and the place Peter converted the centurion Cornelius (Acts 10:24). Explore the Roman Theater and the aqueduct and view the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Continue to Mt. Carmel, to the “Mukhraka” the site where Elijah challenged and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal.(King 18:20). If time permits, drive via the ancient "Way of the Sea" to Megiddo, the fortress city of King Solomon, later built upon by King Ahab. The books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we study about the final Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16: 14-19) while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. Drive through Nazareth, the home of Joseph and Mary and through the city of Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle (John 2: 1-11): turning jars of water into wine. Drive to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberias. Day 4 – Thursday – December 1: Sea of Galilee- Golan Heights The day starts with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. At Kibbutz Ginosar, visit the "Ancient Boat" to be believed from Jesus’ time. Continue to Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place. Visit the ancient boat at Kibbutz Ginosar. Continue on to the Mt. of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Drive along the Hula Valley to Tel Dan and visit the remains of the city. For lunch you will be able to sample the St. Peter fish. Continue to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith to Jesus. Via a ride through the Golan Heights we return to the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the area where Jesus spent his years of ministry. See the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient synagogue in which He may have preached and the house of Peter. End the day at Yardenit with the opportunity to be baptized. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberias.

Day 5 – Friday – December 2: Bet She’an – Bet Alfa - Jerusalem After breakfast leave the Sea of Galilee and drive to Bet She’an. Recent excavations there have disclosed the impressive ruins of the country’s largest city in the Roman and Byzantine periods, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 749 CE. Visit Ein Harod, the site of Judge Gideon (Judges 7: 1-25). The tour continues though the Jordan Valley past Jericho, believed to be the world’s oldest walled city. This was the first city taken by Joshua when the Hebrews returned from Egypt – ‘and the walls fell down’. It was also the site of the Mount of Temptation. (Mark 1:13). Visit Kasser El Yehud, the baptismal site of John. Drive to Jerusalem. Pass the traditional site of the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Enter the city of Jerusalem in the traditional way and view the city from Mt. Scopus. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem. Day 6 – Saturday – December 3: Massada – Ein Gedi - Qumran – Dead Sea After an early breakfast depart and travel along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth to Massada. Ascend Massada by cable car. Massada is the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish history. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod's Palaces, the bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp and the oldest synagogue in the world. Continue to Ein Gedi, the desert oasis where David hid from Saul. Visit the oasis and hike to the waterfall. Drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Enjoy an afternoon "float" on the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem. Day 7 – Sunday – December 4: Jerusalem The day starts with a drive to Mt. Zion. Walk along the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Cross the Kidron Valley and see the Tombs of Absalom, Zachary and James. Walk through the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall, the Southern Wall and the Southern Wall excavation at the Davidson Center. You’ll also visit the Rabbinical Tunnel. In the afternoon visit the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept in the Shrine of the Book and the Holy Land model of Jerusalem as it was in the Second Temple period (the time of Jesus). Your last visit today will be to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem. Day 8 – Monday – December 5: Jerusalem The day starts with a visit to Mt. Moriah. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. This is the place where St. Peter denied his Lord 3 times. Drive to Mt. Zion and visit the House of the High Priest Caiphas. You’ll also visit the Church of St. Anne and see the Pools of Bethesda. Continue on to the Last Supper Room and King David’s Tomb. End the day at the Garden Tomb. Farewell dinner.
