PEDWAY KEY
PEDWAY HOURS
Hours depend on the building attached to the passage. Roughly half of the Pedway is closed on the weekend, and open sections are indicated on this map. Unless other-wise marked, assume Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, closed Sat and Sun, with Pedway in govern-ment buildings open Mon-Fri 6am-6pm.

TIPS ON NAVIGATING
- The Pedway is accessed inside build-ings and train stations, or outside from sidewalks.
- After entering a building or station, you usually need to go underground to find the Pedway. Look for an elevator or escalator, and signs for the Pedway, often this symbol:
- In Section 1 of this map it is impossible to fully clarify street level or underground because the street level outside buildings often changes.
- Sunday is not a great day for Pedway wanderings as many parts are closed.

Abandoned Pedway: First National Bank Building, now called “Chase Tower,” once had Pedway here connecting with Three First National Plaza.
More layers to the city: The basement of Chase Tower has a large cafeteria and below that, an auditorium that hosts NPR’s “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” news show.

This entire block covers train tracks below.
Future Pedway: This area was left undeveloped as old train tracks for 40+ years until 1967. The empty pit here will likely include a passage in the future.

The Maze of the Pedway: This is the most complex section of the Pedway, as both the levels of the Pedway and the ground level outside buildings change. Imagine that underneath your feet are more layers: electrical wires, skyscraper caissons, sewers, abandoned freight train tunnels, and the list goes on...
