What is a pattern?A pattern is a design that repeats over
and over.
Here are some examples:
Today’s art project will
combine landforms and
patterns!
Try your best to draw step-by-step with
the PowerPoint!
Step 1: �Draw half-circles to
make rocks.
Step 2: �Draw triangle shapes above the rocks to make grass.
Step 3: �Draw a wavy
line across the paper to make a
hill. �This should not be a straight
line.
Step 4:�Lightly draw a half circle from the wavy line to the side of
the paper. �
Step 5:�Draw another
hill that connects from the right hill
to the left side of the paper. �
Step 5:�Draw a
straight line between the two hills to make a lake. �
Step 6:�Draw a tree
and its braches. �
Step 7:�Erase the line from the hill
that was inside the tree. �

Step 8:�Draw some leaves on your tree! �

Step 9:�Draw a mountain. Make sure your
mountain connects to the end of the paper! (pink circle) �
�
Step 10:�Draw one
more mountain! �
Step 11:�Draw a cloud in the sky! �
Step 12:�Trace your lines with
black pencil or marker.�

Step 13:�Time for patterns! �
Every part of your drawing should have a
different pattern. �
