Each one Teach One
What is Professional Development• Professional development refers to
skills and knowledge attained for both personal development and career advancement.
• Professional development encompasses all types of facilitated learning opportunities, ranging from college degrees to formal coursework, conferences and informal learning opportunities situated in practice.
Harvard, Carnegie Foundation, and Stanford Research Center claim that 85% of your job success comes from your people skills, while only 15% comes from your technical skills and knowledge.

Why is PD Important?
Introduction to the Program
Founded out of the need to bridge the gap between students, faculty and alumni, the SBI Mentorship Program (SMP) seeks to identify and enhance the core competencies that SBI students need to realize their true potential and become successful community and corporate leaders.
Keeping in mind that the development of any leader is dependent on strong mentorship ties, the SMP seeks to develop a sustainable mentorship program that incorporates all key SBI stakeholders.
