August 14th – Begin entering requests

August 31st – Requests and supporting documentation is submitted to OPB

September 8th – Approvals communicated

to units

Security access is controlled by the “RP” roles in D6501

If you have a MAU role for the Raise Process, then you will have access to Provost Market

Path to Application

Enter the URL for the Cognos EP site:

https://ep.ebsp.msu.edu/cognos/or log in through the EBS website (ebs.msu.edu) and within “Enterprise Business Systems”

or “Reports” click on the “Planning & Budgets” tile

Public Folder > Cognos Planning > Applications > - MSU > MSU Raise Process > MSU Provost Market

Provost Market Requests

Enter amount in “Proposed Provost Market Increase” column

Attach the supporting documentation within the “Market Request” tab within the application

− Use convention 10002000_2017-18_MarketJustification.docx

− Use a Cognos Planning compatible file format (word, excel, pdf, txt, etc.)

Match your controls (amount and count)

Only enter data for personnel with requests

Submit within Cognos Planning application by August 31st

Link Provost Market into Faculty Raise Model

Provost Market amounts will be transferred into the faculty raise application each day at 6:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Note this is a one to many transfer.

Primary -> Primary, Funding, Reports To

Must mark “Include in Raise List” within faculty application, in order to have the amount transferred.
