  • 1) PERSONAL COMPUTER(PC)Known as microcomputers because they were a complete computer but built on a smaller scale.

  • 2) DESKTOPA PC that is set up in a permanent location(not portable). Most desktops offer more power, storage and versatility for less cost.

  • 3) LAPTOPAlso called notebook. Are portable computersintegrate the display, keyboard, a pointing device or trackball, processor, memory and hard drive all in a battery-operated package larger than an average hardcover book.

  • In hospitals wearable computers would make the life of many people easier, for example, patients would not have to come to the hospital as often because doctors could be able to monitor them through their devices. Access to information would be instant and this would save a lot of time for doctors and their patients .

  • This technology is also used to conserve power consumption by placing the unit in standby mode when the users arm hangs down beside the body (patent-pending).
