• He wrote medicine, named Al-Qanon fi Al- Tibb (Canon of Medicine).

It was translated to many languages the reference for medical schools

in Europe up to the 17th century.

Arabs separated the arts of apothecary and physician,

establishing in Bagdad late in the eighth century the first privately owned drug stores.
