Shoot title: The movement of ink dye Aim: the aim of this shoot is to show how the water reacts and moves the coloured ink around by dropping a little amounts of different colours. Techniques: shutter speed of 1/250 is fast enough to capture the water reacting to the dye as it moves slowly. I had to fill in a glass tub and set it on the table Equipment: Nikon DSLR D3300 will be used along with a compact advanced tripod for a sharp result to hold the camera steady by the weight of the tripod. A white backdrop is considered to be used for clear results of the ink dye colours to be more visible than against the black. One of the light sets will be used behind the backdrop to create a shuttle effect in the image. Location: I will be shooting this planned shoot in an empty classroom in my double period of photography. Obstacles: the obstacles I might have to face are accidental staining of dye on fabric when I use a photography box with a backdrop. The dye might not be so easy to get rid of and possibly not removable. The lighting rig set may become a problem if my class mates doing a photoshoot the same time as planned. PHOTOSHOOT 2

EVIDENCE OF SELECTIONS: TOP 5

The variety of ink tones makes it captivating to look at as it is colourful as it blends in the water. I feel the timing is right and captures this shot without too much blending of colour.

Not much appliction of colour, makes the eye focus on the details of the shapes. Beginning of shoot, shows more white/empty space. This makes the image look tidy.

The single colour used gives an impression of a smooth movement in the image. Rule of thirds is used making the viewer focus on the middle left of the photo.

The longer time to capture this photo creates stronger and bolder result. The lighting behind the backdrop makes the dye glow which makes the shot interesting.

The splash of the water creates an interesting part of the image. The subject focus is the mixing of dye which relates to the upper part of the photo.

EVIDENCE OF SELECTIONS: TOP 2

This photograph is full of colour which gives a sense of relaxation and atmosphere within the image.

The soft light placed behind the backdrop highlights every

colour well and captures the viewers attention.

The pink colour stands out against the yellow which creates a complimentary combination for the image and the

background contrasts and gives depth.

The backlighting has been created with a floodlight which has been defused this allows the background’s shadow to

become clear.

The cropped edit takes away unwanted space at the top of the image to create a whole finished look and tidies the photograph up.

The saturation edit defined the colours and adjusted them to appear brighter and give the viewer a sense of tranquillity when looking at this photograph.

The floodlighting behind the diffused backdrop makes the colour almost glow which helps with the visual presentation of the ink.

Exposure of 1/320 makes the image sharp in addition to the light sets in the classroom studio which I think outcome the aimed photo.

the colours which defined by the lighting creates a glowing image that makes it enchanting to look at for the eyes
