___________________________________________________ nicKel-Base allOys ___________________________________________________ Nickel alloys are metals that contain large amounts of nickel for the purpose of increasing the level of resistance to corrosion and heat-induced weakness or softening for critical applications. They have very good resistance to cracking in sour, chloride containing environments. Main solid-solution nickel-based alloys are the AlloyC276, Inconel 625 and Incoloy 825.
Clad steel is a composite product developed to provide effective and economic utilization of expensive materials.The cladding layer which will be in contact with the corrosive fluids is made of the corrosion resistant alloy whilst the less expensive backing steel provides the strength and toughness required to maintain the mechanical integrity. Because high strength backing steel can be used, wall thicknesses can be reduced relative to solid CrAs thus reducing fabrication time and costs.
