Measured surveys vary in complexity and PlanB have the full range of equipment to tackle the most challenging of tasks in an accurate, comprehensive manner. Their services vary: 1. 2D Internal surveys - plans, sections, elevations, audits. 2. 2D External surveys - topographical surveys, levels, contours, changes in terrain, etc. Building elevations. 3. 3D Scanning - internal and external objects, colour photographed and measured to millimetre accuracy at 50,000 points per second. Surveys Simple surveys start off with a conventional steel tape measure and electronic measuring device (Disto) as shown below. The Disto is generally suitable for distances up to 100m (328 ft) When more detailed information is required, we use our Topcon IS Total Station or Leica C10 3D Laser Scanner. 3D Scans, as shown opposite produce large amounts of information that can be used to illustrate information in a variety of ways. The example on the left shows site data as well as coloured height information, in plan form. From this information, 2D CAD plans, Sections and Elevations can be produced as well as full 3D Models for BIM purposes. Scanning can be undertaken externally and internally, even in the dark and is ideal for collecting lots of information very quickly.
