Thank Our Troops and Veterans on Veterans Day Veterans Day, November 11, is the time to say “Thank You” to those who have worn a military uniform and to those who today are keeping strong the unbroken bond of service. Just as generations before, the men and women of today’s armed forces put their lives on the line to combat our enemies and preserve our freedom. If you would like to write a letter thanking someone in the military, the best way is to send them through an organization that supports our troops: Support Our Troops, 13791 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa FL 33613. Please be positive, encouraging, thankful, respectful and kind. Please do not include your email address, mailing address or your last name. If you are part of a classroom, workplace or group project, you can include a group photo. Leave the envelop unsealed for inspections or it won’t be forwarded. Place it in a larger envelope and mail it to Support Our Troops (address listed above). This organization will send your letters to deployed Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen.
