• An effective testing methodology is one of the critical factors for a successful go-live

• Typical Failure Modes with Testing – Testing with dummy data that does not represent existing master and

transactional data

– Testing scope limited to Unit Testing; very limited Integration Testing

– Lack of business user involvement in testing

– The testing environment is not treated like a production environment during testing cycles - environment keeps changing (config, data, security etc.)

– Findings are not tracked properly leading to same issues/risks showing up again in future cycles
