MEMBRANE RECOVERY SYSTEMS Aqualogic Inc. www.aqualogic.com Aqualogic’s MicroMagic Cleaner Purification System uses microfiltration to remove emulsified oils from aqueous detergents. The continuous removal of oils allows the detergent to operate more effectively over much longer periods of time. Benefits include greatly extended cleaner life, reduced oil dragout to subsequent processes, and reduced waste volume. The graphite membrane is resistant to strong caustic solutions at ele- vated temperatures. ~ Circle 154 on reader information card CHIP SEPARATOR ITW VorteclPaxton Products www.itwvortec.com ITW Vortec’s Sump-N-Ator drum pump uses com- pressed air to vacuum and filter (up to 40 gpm) machine sumps, separating chips, and swarf from used coolants, cutting oils, and cleaning agents. It can then pump the chip-free liquid out of a Xi-gal drum for recycling or disposal. The pump is a ver- satile, dual-mode filtration pump and, with no motor to burn out and no moving parts to break, is virtually maintenance free. The electronically controlled systems can process a wide range of flammable or high boiling point solvents and are designed for operation in hazardous environments. The systems are offered with from 6- to LX-gal per batch in an automatic, continuous-feed operation with a vacuum assist. Circle 156 on reader information card February 2004 31
