“I am in search of poetry, beauty, horror and reasons within the field of architecture. I be-lieve that the future of design lays in multi crossing of many professions and human interests. Once again in history of mankind people refuse being specialists to become polyhmaths inside the melting pot of urban enviroment we live in...”

BACHELOR PROJECT 2013
Gallery of Contemporary Art and Architecture
Main challenge of my bachelor project was to design a gallery of architecture, design and contemporary art right next to Brno’s ring road which is a very busy street on the edge of the historic city center. My proposal makes part of the plot available for another town development and concentrates mass in a thin, high box, which is well accessible to the public. Exhibition halls are located on the top floors. Below them I placed a block of workshops communicating with the street. The en-trance area leads into an atrium that divides the gallery into two parts. This is where the interaction of all visitors happens.

MASTER PROJECT
The objective of my master project was to design thermal baths in Yverdon Les Bains, Switzerland as a part of a master program that concentrated on five human senses. My design is introducing a solution based on typical character of self-standing spa pavilions usually placed in parks. I combined this character with contemporary ar-chitectural philosophy. All the procedures - swimming, bathing, rehabilitation and wellness happen in spa house located in the middle of historical park. Additional services, such as hotel extension, restaurant or spa administration are placed also in the park keeping the im-pression of pavilions. All the interventions respect the human scale carefully. Concept of my design presents two basic layers - park and spa house. Both these layers are represented in surfaces whose physical tangible borders became essential ele-ments of whole project. A spa house reminisces a ship that anchors in the park with people observing the city from the ship’s deck.

SLACHTHUISLAAN - ANTWERPEN Citiess are concentrated organisms of human presence in the world and their main attribute is neverendless complexity. Urban planning doesn’t consider all little nuances and relations in human life. But all these minor ep-isodes make our life complete in the end and therefore they are important. We, as architects, are obliged to let them happen. Site of Slachthuislaan in Antwerp is just a part of this complexity. It is not a pretty place, but ugly places are inseparably present in contemporary cities. In my project I wanted to explore possibility of combining two conflicting enviroments - intimacy of home and anonymity of infrastracture. I decided to bond these two substantially different realities with stripes. Main idea is not to connect them but to offer a place of agreement - tresholds between a silence and noise, a village and a city. Rising with its own confident identity inside. Each stripe can offer various program. Proximity of stripes guarantee energy exchange and diversity of city life.

HOUSE IN UKKEL I was working on this project during my internship at Wim Goes Architectuur in Belgium. This project is located in one of Brussels’ nicer neighborhoods called Ukkel. Clients asked the office to design a house for their empty narrow plot. One of the biggest advantage of this plot was a view towards the inner court-yard where lots of old fully grown trees could be observed. The main conceptual idea was to divide the whole mass into smaller boxes and stack them on each other. There was five boxes in total. Each floor represents one box and they get smaller the higher you get. Shrinking of the whole volume to the top allows the sun to illumi-nate the garden behind the house. Another advantage is utilizating the space of diminishing boxes for big terraces.

BACHELOR
CABANE RAMBERT Cabane Rambert is a small mountain cabine in Swiss Alps with the elevation of nearly 2,000 m. Existing cabine is missing suitable capacity and comfort. My proposal was to extend existing volume using similar materiality and adding temporary addition in the back containing more accommodation rooms. Main focus of this design was on materials, therefore I used concrete to extend old stone building and wood to build new volume behind it.

ARGAN OIL CENTER
In April of 2014 I got involved in a workshop in Morocco. We spent one week in a small village Aknaibiche close to Agadir. We were learning local vernacular techniques of building with soil and clay. Techniques of adobe and rammed earth. Divided in groups we designed projects ben-efitial for the community. My group worked on a project of centre for processing argan fruits into the precious oil, which is a typically female work. Our design was inspired by local architecture and its elements. We came up with an idea of a house surround-ing two atriums on slope. Process of manufacturing the oil starts at the highest point and then continues downward by the atriums ending with final product - argan oil, which is sold at the shop located at the lowest point of the house.

THE FAN: This traditional Chinese object is the guiding concept behind the project. Its Eastern ori-gins and Western usage, together with its simple technology and elegance, makes it the symbol of international long-lasting beauty, functionality and craftsmanship. Its simplicity of usage, transport and foldable abilities were the inspiring ingredients which shaped this design. The traditional details of the fan have been reduced to the clean lines of a minimalist contemporary design based on the rhythmic sequence of folding panels on which different sized objects are exhibited. The panels variety facilitates programmatic flexibility, allowing the space to function as an exhibition or a venue for lectures, screenings or workshops.
