    INGLS

The legacy of apartheid left this inheritancebehind , townships, the ghettos of the socialmarginalization of the non-white people thatlearnt to live, coexist and survive in the worstimaginable conditions.

Today little has changed, juvenile gangsdominate, and they traffic with alcohol,

drugs and firearms. AIDS spreads fasterand faster, hygiene, sanitation, evendrinkable water is a luxury that very fewhave the option of opting for.

However, only a few kilometres from theseareas life in the South African cities beatscomfortably away, with its large houses, wide streets, modern shopping centers,

    leisure areas , hospitals, etc....

The townships are big stains whereinequality reigns , they are simply there andthe government does very little to changethis unfortunate situation. The shacks growat a frantic rate , the housing promised bythe government not so.
