DECEMBER 26, 2015

• Office of Emergency Management

• EOC staffed at 2:00PM

• Monitored the weather all afternoon

• Impact at 7:02PM: EF‐4 tornado

• Three RFR units were dispatched to I-30 MVA in Garland before we knew the tornado’s impact on Rowlett.

• Within minutes after the impact our EOC was fully activated

• Requested mutual aid from county and state

• Worked through the night assessing conditions

• It was evident that we were facing the darkest day in Rowlett history
