Founder/CEO Mazen El Zein Founder of The Crystal Group, Mazen established and managed a Private Equity Fund specialized in hospitality growth supporting Circle Management Group (CMG) development and financing its projects. CMG was a hospitality group, dedicated to the development and management of restaurants, bars and clubs in the Middle East.
Previous to this Mazen was part of the Investment team of with the Credit Lyonnais Group, Societe Generale Group & Credit Suisse Group for over 8 years. He graduated from the Institute of Political Studies of Paris, France and holds a Masters in Finance & Banking from ‘ASSAS University’ Paris-France.
Mazen today still remains the hands-on leader of The Crystal Group and thrives on the challenge of continually growing and strengthening

From our foundation, Beirut has always been a hedonistic city, but it is also a city that never settles for the status quo, always yearning for more, always yearning for better. As citizens of this ever-evolving metropolis, we are no different and we felt it was time for Beirut to be taken to a new level of entertainment and luxury. The reason behind this is because no matter what the country has undergone politically, socially or financially, the ineffable spirit and drive to celebrate an evening, an event or even a moment has been a perpetual characteristic. In a nutshell, Lebanon is dubbed the multi-cultural Mediterranean metropolis. From this passion, our concepts were born. Managing Partner Jad Matta Graduate of Hotel Management from the American University of Science & Technology, all through the way, Jad was the Director of Sales for the KUPCO Group and the Business Development Manager for the Texas Chicken both in Kuwait as well as a Manager of Balthus (French Brasserie) and Yabani (Japanese Restaurant) in Beirut, Lebanon. Now, a key asset to The Crystal Group, as a Managing Partner, he is dedicated to employing the best ambassadors and the right tools to ensure the best service, operation and experience to keep up with the guests and markets’ change that is evident.
Samir Kerchiched Samir has gained 25 years of leisure industry experience worldwide in the restaurant and hospitality industry with a proven track record in operations and business development. His primary skills are focused on finance, negotiation in franchise and joint venture, with a special emphasis on managing F&B projects from inception Samir started out in the hotel business at George V and the Royal Monceau in Paris before moving on to restaurants and bars. He has spent most of his career opening and managing several of the world’s major venue concepts such as Momo, Sketch and Club Gascon in London; Nobu and Barrio Latino (part of Buddha Bar group) in Paris, Almaz by Momo in Dubai, Momo at the Souks in Beirut and lately Ignite Group with the opnening of W Hotel London and Boujis Hong Kong. After 20 years of collaboration he is still to date a Non Executive for Momo Group MENA.

Patrice Gouty Patrice joins The Crystal Group as Area Operations Manager based in Dubai. With extensive experience in hospitality spanning across cities such as Paris, Germany, London and Miami Patrice brings key elements to the group that continues to grow to an ultimately global scale. Patrice has strong experience in operational set-up, implementation of gold standard service and continually raising the bar of industry standard having been an asset in hotels, restaurants and clubs around the world such as Raffles in London, Sanctuary Hotel and Delano Hotel both in South beach, China White in London, and the Hilton in Munchen, Germany Patrice has vast experience that bring true value to the team.

Nesting between the new hop location and the heart of ancient Beirut’s art scene, Alcazar is a three-floor restaurant and bar with a kitchen that offers an exquisite Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine and a variety of mouth watering cocktails and aperitifs concocted by Lebanon’s number 1 mixologists-bartenders. Sofil Catering, 2006-2009 The leading catering company in Lebanon, Sofil has fortified its image as the top notch caterer throughout 12 years of service. Sofil has the exclusivity as the only caterer for the Biel’s hall “Royal Pavilion”, Golf Club Beirut, CMC Hospital. Sofil has an enormous diversity in its services starting from Weddings, Receptions, Cocktails, Home Catering, Health Catering…. Mijana is a traditional Lebanese restaurants in Beirut, set in a beautifully restored Ottoman building, furnished with opulent, comfortable chairs and infused with more than a hint of the Orient. You can eat indoors or outdoors in the covered courtyard. The menu features traditional Lebanese specialities alongside the ubiquitous mezze - the red hummus and deep fried potatoes are particularly good, as is the shish taouk chicken doused in lashings of garlic.. Mission de vie -www.missiondevie.org Pier 7 hosted a charity event in 2011 entitled “The Show Goes On” Mission de Vie is an association that takes care of the homeless from kids to elderly. They currently house in their center 20 kids, 19 teens and 30 seniors. They depend on sponsors and the generosity of donors to keep their center running. All benefits of this event went to the charity association of Mission de Vie Jouzour Loubnan- Pier 7 hosted a fundraising Gala Dinner for Jouzour loubnan, an environmental organization aiming at increasing the plantation in Lebanon. http://www.jouzourloubnan.org/events/news.asp Coinciding with their campaign to protect the country's forests, Jouzour Loubnan held a fundraising party at Pier 7 where an open bar kept thirsts quenched. Tickets were priced at the cost of five planted trees. This year Pier 7 hosted Kunhadi taxi night even http://www.kunhadi.org this event was aimed at bringing awarness to the hazards of drink driving. Alcazar is part of the "Eat out for Life 2012”http://www.eatoutforlife.com where 10% of the Sales of Alcazar during one week from the 1st of July till the 7th go to the Children's Cancer Center. That’s about it for our CSR contribution. Jouzour Loubnan will be hosting their Gala dinner fundraiser again at Pier 7 in September 2012 People By Crystal will be donating a percentage to the Breast Cancer Foundation for the entire month of October 2012 to support the Breast Cancer awareness month.
