1 FLIGHT TO PRAGUE: We embark on an unforgettable journey as we join our fellow travelers heading to the Charlotte airport for our overnight flight to Prague, Czech Republic. 2 PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC: We arrive in Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. We admire the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque facades and the gleaming spires of Prague enroute to the hotel. We enjoy a Welcome Reception with our international guide and fellow travelers as we settle into our home for the next three nights. WR 3 PRAGUE • VLTAVA RIVER CRUISE: Enjoy breakfast before we begin our guided walk past the city’s iconic sights. As we tour Prague, we delve into centuries of history. Set within the precincts of Prague Castle, we visit St. Vitus Cathedral, the biggest church in the Czech Republic and the resting place where saints, kings and emperors of Bohemia are buried. In Old Town Square we admire the medieval Astronomical Clock with its hourly Walk of the Apostles. We visit 14th-century Charles Bridge, lined with the Baroque statues of saints. Later, during a relaxing cruise on the beautiful River Vltava, we learn of the many legends, myths, cultures and hidden secrets of this enchanting city. Our cruise includes a lunch of local specialties. B, L 4 PRAGUE: Today is ours to explore the legends, castles and palaces of Prague at leisure. Encompassing a large portion of old Prague, you may choose to follow the Royal Route to discover the city’s beauty and many treasures. Located in the center of Prague, you may choose to visit Petrin Hill, which rises over 100 feet above sea level and offers picturesque views of the city. Two optional excursions are offered at an additional cost, one includes a Kutna Hora Bohemian Expe- rience or choose a traditional dinner in Prague. B 5 BRATISLAVA • VIENNA, AUSTRIA: After breakfast, we travel south from Prague through lush Moravian land- scapes to Bratislava, passing its Old Town, before continuing our journey to Vienna, Austria. Upon arriving in Vien- na, we check into our hotel, our home for the next three nights and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. An optional Viennese dinner with musical enter- tainment is offered at an additional cost. B 6 VIENNA GUIDED TOUR: This morn- ing, before the doors are open to the general public, we join an exclu- sive tour of Europe’s most influential royal families as we visit the Habsburg royal collection. We visit Kunskammer, one of the most spectacular cham- bers of art and wonders in the world and admire valuable objects collect- ed by the emperors and archdukes of Habsburg over the centuries. Later, we join a guided sightseeing tour of Hofburg Palace, the official residence of the President of Austria and former home of the Habsburg Dynasty. We see the Parliament Building, the mag- nificent Opera House and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. This afternoon is ours to continue exploring this amazing city at leisure. B 7 VIENNA / SCHONBRUNN PALACE & GARDENS: Today we journey through the centuries of Habsburg rule as we explore the Imperial Summer Palace of Schönbrunn. The palace is perfectly preserved and richly decorated with treasures from around the globe. Each room has a story to tell and your guide will bring it to life. This afternoon you are free to explore more of Vienna. Perhaps shop along the streets of Old City or relax in a café with a cup of coffee and pastry. An optional experience including a superb dinner with drinks, followed by a concert of Viennese classical music is offered this evening. B 8 ESZTERGOM • BUDAPEST, HUNGARY • DANUBE CRUISE: After breakfast, we travel along the Danube Bend, a narrow twisting valley in the pretty Carpathian Basin, stopping in Esztergom to view its Castle Hill, domed Cathedral, and St. Thomas Hill. We follow the scenic landscape to the romantic city of Budapest, our home for the next three nights. After check- ing in, this evening, we enjoy a scenic cruise on a private boat along the romantic Danube River. We savor a delicious Hungarian dinner as we see Budapest’s spectacular illuminations, which give it the nickname ‘The Paris of the East’. B, D 9 BUDAPEST SIGHTSEEING: Today we join our guide for a walking tour through the winding lanes of Buda’s Castle District. We visit the Fisherman’s Bastion, view the Matthias Church and drive to Pest to see the Great Syna- gogue, the largest in Europe. We view the seven chieftains of the Magyars in Heroes’ Square before enjoying time at leisure to indulge in coffee and Krémes in the Jewish Quarter or shopping for Hungarian embroidery and fine por- celain. Tonight, we connect with the locals over a ‘Be My Guest” dinner with the Schieszl family and hear the story of their winery. B, D 10 BUDAPEST • HUNGARIAN PARLIAMENT • SZENTENDRE: Today we take a guided tour of Hun- gary’s Parliament building, the largest building in Hungary and the tallest building in Budapest. This magnificent Gothic Revival building is the most ornate state parliament building in Europe. You’ll have time to explore more of Budapest. This evening, we reflect on our magnificent journey to the imperial capitals of Europe as we dine with our traveling companions at a local restaurant. B, D 11 FLIGHT HOME: Today, we transfer to the Budapest airport. We say a fond farewell as we board our flight home to the USA.
