One of the most critical components of any emergency plan is its evacuation effectiveness. Given the complexity of building design and layout, fire safety managers have a daunting task to be able to advise on safe egress and facilitate evacuation planning during the formulation of the fire emergency plan.
This course will provide participants with an overview of what to consider when planning building evacuation and how to implement the evacuation strategy in part-whole-part approach.

Industrial buildings not only get taller, more complex nowadays, it also gets more hazardous when their business operations involve use and storage of flammable and toxic chemicals. Industrial building owners and management not only need to ensure safe egress for the occupants, they are also tasked to put in place an effective fire emergency plan or emergency response plan to handle the emergency situation such as fire, chemical spill, and toxic release. Hence, the need for effective emergency response planning cannot be understated.
This course will provide participants with an overview of how industrial complex/buildings can be better prepared for such incidents through effective emergency planning, and be prepared to face and overcome the impact when probable scenarios happen.

Thirstday with SGBC

The Singapore Green Building Council is pleased to present a special edition of the Thirstday with SGBC series of networking events, featuring special insights by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and a collaboration with bike sharing firm Mobike.
BCA will be sharing the results of studies on green building benefits and performance, while Mobike will share about how mobility solutions can enable analytics into building users and visitors. The highlight of the event will be a demo ride on Mobikes along the Marina Bay Promontory Area, allowing you to have a first-hand experience on using the bike-sharing app and familiarising yourself with the bike-sharing model.

Admission Admission is free and is strictly open to trade and business professionals only. Charges may apply for conferences & seminars. Persons below the age of 18 will not be admitted. Visitors must be dressed in proper business attire. Visitors can register online at the respective show websites or with their business card on-site for a visitor badge. Visitor badges grant entry into all 6 exhibitions for all show days (4 - 5 October). Last entry at 5.30PM on 4 & 5 Oct, 4.30PM on 6 Oct. The Organisers reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
