Why Join The Day Lewis Programme Overview of The Programme

• You will be able to work with reputable Schools of Pharmacy such as at University College London and University of East Anglia, off ering a collaborative approach to learning and development. • We have clinical speakers that are from a variety of sectors with experience in Hospital, Primary Care, Community and Academia, gaining insightful information.• We deliver opportunities to experience various clinical environments such as Hospitals, GP Surgeries and Prisons.• We give regular guidance to meet all the GPhC performance standards and pass the GPhC pre-registration assessment. • We equip trainees with clinical and managerial skills, ensuring a long rewarding and successful career in Pharmacy.• We provide trainees regular protected learning time (5 hours a week study time) which will help to complete any structured learning between training days.• You can experience other clinical services provided in other Pharmacies within the company and gain accreditation for some services such as smoking cessation. • We off er employment to over half of all our trainees thereby signing you up to the Day Lewis Foundation programme supporting your fi rst three years post qualifi cation.• We give continuous support of the Day Lewis pre-registration team and Pharmacy teams across the company.

Overview of The Programme

• Day Lewis operates a comprehensive pre-registration programme off ering our trainees the ability to transition from being a student to a pre-registration trainee and then a competent pharmacist. • Your journey through the pre-registration training gives you the confi dence to approach the GPhC registration assessment with great confi dence of success. This is refl ected with our good performance at the registration assessment every year. • Day Lewis dedicated tutors have a vast range of experience and our pharmacies off er several clinical services which assist with your learning. • You will have the opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge to become the best, right from the beginning of your career as a pharmacist. • We provide the most current learning materials backed with evidence-based learning. The study days off er opportunity to widen your peer network, participate in Q & A sessions, receive feedback and guidance from the pre-registration manager and guest speakers. • Most importantly it assists all trainees to share experiences and challenges. • Our programme includes international students on the fi ve-year integrated programme, Hospital, GP and Industry split placement students.• There are also Teacher Practitioners affi liated to various universities off ering support to all our trainees. • The programme focuses on what we can off er the next generation of pharmacists and how we prepare them to be innovative and embrace the digital technology that future pharmacists will need to compete in this ever- changing industry.

Training PlanOur training plan covers all aspects of the GPhC registration training framework. Formal study days are designed to provide up-to-date resources, support peer to peer learning and share best practice with peers. Our objective focuses on supporting your success at the GPhC assessment. Our training plan consist of the following listed below:
