GAME: WATER GAMESWHAT YOU NEED: - Water balloons (provided) - Oversized shirt frozen in bag - 2-4 buckets - Cup

YOUR MISSION:Today’s mission is to complete a series of missions the quickest. Get ready because you are going to get wet! 

PREP AHEAD OF TIME: The day before you play this game, get a t-shirt wet, fold it up and put it in a bag of water, close the bag and stick it in the freezer.

Mission 1: FROZEN SHIRT-OMIT FOR YOUNGER EXPLORERS

Your mission is to defrost a frozen shirt as quickly as possible only using your hands or your body. If you are a single player, race against time! Time yourself to see how long it takes you to defrost your shirt! If you are multiplayer, race against each other! The first player to “defrosts” the shirt and put it on wins!

Mission 2: WATER BALLOON TOSS

Your mission is to throw water balloons into the bucket without popping them. If you are a single player count how many balloons you can toss into the bucket without popping them. When you’re done, dump the bucket on your head! If you are a multiplayer, you must throw your water balloons into your opponents bucket without popping the balloons. The player with the most balloons inside the bucket, wins! The winner gets to dump the bucket of

water onto the losing player! If there’s a tie, both players dump the buckets on their opponents head.

Mission 3: CUP RELAY

Your mission is to transfer the water from the full bucket to the empty bucket. Oh no! There are holes in your cup! Hold the cup above your head as you move quickly so you don’t lose too much water! If you are a single player, race against time. If you are multiplayer, race against each other.

SERVING OTHERS: YOUR WORLD-SOZOWHAT YOU NEED: - Jesus Loves You Card - Coloring Supplies

DESCRIPTION:In your Bible story you learned that God wants us to love others. When we love others, we are also loving God! Today you are going to love others and love God by helping the world! Decorate your card and write a message of hope, happiness or kindness on the back. Then, drop off your card at BridgePoint Church. BridgePoint will mail all of the cards to the kids of Sozo in Uganda, Africa. Sozo provides care to over 120 children by sharing God’s love, providing free education and healthcare. If you’re unable to bring your card to BridgePoint, that’s ok! Decorate it and give it to someone else to let them know Jesus loves them!

WORLD COOKIESWHAT YOU NEED: - Sugar Cookies Mix - 1/4 teaspoon Blue gel food color - 1/4 teaspoon Green gel food color

WHAT YOU DO:

• Make cookie dough mix, but do NOT bake it yet. Once the cookie dough mix is ready, split the cookie dough in half. Add the blue food coloring to one half of the dough and the green food coloring to the other half. Get pieces of each color and roll into a ball. Then, place it on a cookie sheet. Bake according to cookie baking directions and flatten while warm.

DESCRIPTION:God loves the whole world and so can you! While you eat your World Cookies, think of ways you can love the world.

HEART SHAPED RICE KRISPY TREATSWHAT YOU NEED: - 3 Tablespoons of Butter - 1 Package of Marshmallow 10oz. - 5-6 cups Rice Krispies - White chocolate - Pink food coloring - Heart shaped cookie cutter

WHAT YOU DO:

• Melt butter and marshmallows, then mix in cereal. Next, layer on pan and use cookie cutter to make heart shapes. Melt chocolate, then mix in the pink food coloring. Finally, dip half the heart into the pink icing.

DESCRIPTION:God loves the whole world and so can you! While you eat your Heart Rice Krispy Treats, think of ways you can love the world.

RECAP Jesus made it so clear in today’s Bible story: the most important thing we can do is to love God and love others. Today’s Big Idea is LOOK AT HOW WE CAN LOVE OTHERS. We can FOCUS on what Jesus did for us, and then we can choose to show His love to the people around us.

We can take the FOCUS off of ourselves and what we want and instead put the FOCUS on other people. We can try to understand where they’re coming from. We can pay attention and see what they need. We can treat others the way we want to be treated and love them like God loves them.

That’s something you can do every day. Every day, you can find ways to be patient and kind. We can look for chances to show the kind of love God shows us—the kind of love that never, ever fails. It can be pretty simple when you’re on the lookout. Just stop and think to yourself: ‘What would I want someone to do for me?’ Then go out and do it!

Remember, you can live for God by loving others. Think of others instead of just thinking of yourself. Put your FOCUS on what God has done for You, and then live your life differently because of it.

FAMILY ACTIVITY IDEALoving Others Charades: Take turns acting out how can you show love to others. One person will act out the tasks, and the rest of the family will try and guess what is being acted out! (task examples: taking care of a sick friend, hugging someone, setting the table for dinner, helping your family clean the house)

PASSPORT:Write about what you learned today in your Passport on page 13.

MEMORY VERSE:Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And he is the one who completes the journey of faith. Hebrews 12:2a NIRV
