It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this year’s POWER-GEN & DistribuTECHAfrica 2016 conference and exhibition under the support of Eskom as Host Utility as we return to the wonderful city of Johannesburg where the event was first launched in 2012.

The current burgeoning demand for the delivery of secure energy services to the rapidly-expanding economies across the African continent, offers the power industry opportunities to make positive change, and by bringing the world renowned POWER-GEN and DistribuTECH names to Africa, we are proud to be part of this initiative.

At this year’s event you will find such technologies, spanning all forms of power generation systems as well as power delivery, utility automation and advanced metering – in other words the entire span of the power sector is here under one roof – designed to serve Africa’s many vertically integrated utilities.
