Kidz Meadow Kindergarten collaborated

with Loyang Primary School for a K2 immersion programme on 30 March 2017.

The visit provided a great opportunity for the K2 children to have a better understanding

of what to expect in primary school. The children participated in a Primary 1 classroom

lesson set up and experienced buying food from the canteen.

Some of the K2 parents also joined us

at Loyang Primary School for a parents’ briefing session.

Care for Environment Day

Kidz Meadow Kindergarten observed ‘Care for Environment Day’

on 21 April 2017.

The objective of the day was to inculcate a sense of responsibility to care for the earth

that we live in. The teachers shared effects of global warming and deforestation with the

children as well as encouraging them to learn to recycle.

The children also had a fun yoga and workout session on environmental awareness. They

each brought home a craft that pledge their promise to save

the earth.

Career Dress Up Day

In conjunction to the theme on “Occupation”, we had our annual Career

Dress Up Day on 28 April 2017.

The objective of this activity is to help the children understand the roles of the

various community helpers and how they help us in our community.

The children looked great in the costumes of their chosen occupations. Thank you

parents for dressing up your child to the theme!

Trip to Fig & Olive

The KMK children had a yummy time at Fig & Olive Café before the end of Term 2, on

24 and 25 May 2017. The trip was in conjunction with our project month on 'Food'.

Our N1 to K2 children had the opportunity to observe food menu and preparation that were related to their project topic such as tomato and egg pizzas, eggs and mayo sandwiches and mini apple

pies. The older children were even allowed access to tour around their kitchen.

We were also greeted by the friendly mascot, ‘Fig’! The children were excited to hug and shake hands

with ‘Fig’. They definitely had a great time dining at Fig & Olive.

We had our first Parent-Child Art holiday programme during the June holidays conducted by Wow Educational International Pte Ltd.

Parents and children had fun with canvas painting at Pasir Ris Park.

The greenery and the scenic surrounding had brought out the creativity in them.

Thank you parents for the support given. See you at

more parent-child events in the future!
