Power Quality AnalysisMI 2792 PowerQ4 Plus GPS: Typical Applications - Observing on two or more points on network By using two ore more synchronized PowerQ4 Plus instruments by means of GPS Unit, user can perform simultaneous measurement on the different network points. GPS unit assures that instruments are synchronized during EN 5010 survey, for example. Additionally the same configuration can be used for troubleshooting, for example to estimate disturbance impact on network or susceptible load. Instruments placement in that case: motor - source of disturbance (aggressor), server room - victim of disturbance, transformer - path of disturbance spreading into network. By using PowerQ4 Plus recorders (transient, inrush and waveform) user can observe disturbance spreading over the network and estimate impact under various conditions.11 8. Power Quality AnalysisMI 2792 PowerQ4 Plus GPRS: Typical Applications Modem data transfer enables remote handling of the instrument and its data. When the instrument has to be located on distant or hardly accessible place, the modem is the only practical solution for fast access to the instrument. Metrel recommend to prepare test system for verification and training before performing actual measurements at the remote place. GPRS standard set include: GPRS Modem Telit 863-PY, USB / RS232 cable, Stub Antenna, 54 mm, 12 V power supply adapter. *Optional 5 m antenna cable can be provided upon request.
