Documentary Storyboard on Eccles College
By Amy Barry & Kaidee Lewis
This is a Documentary Storyboard we have created about Eccles College. We have tried to use typical shots used in Documentaries and studied the style of
Documentaries and tried to interpret this into our storyboard.
This is our establishing shot of the college, we think this picture would be better if the man in the shot was not there.
This is a filler shot of the Eccles sixth form college sign. This informs the audience of where the location of the documentary is. We think this is a good shot, however, it could be
improved by a neater shot being captured, with no reflections being seen.
This is a filler shot of the college shop. We think this is relevant, however, it would be more appropriate if we could have captured an image inside the shop.
This is a high angle filler shot of the corner of the college canteen. We think this is a good shot, however, it could be improved by setting the scene in a more attractive way before the
image was captured.
This is a close up shot of a pupils work. This is a good shot which would be seen in a Documentary as it is showing the viewer in detail about a subject.
This is a filter shot of the corridor in the college. This is a convention we have followed as Documentaries have lots of filler shots.
This is another filler shot of the reception area in the college. We think this is a good shot which would be in a documentary.
This is a filler shot of the outside area of the college. This is another shot which would be easily recognised in a documentary.
This is another filler shot of the vegetable patches. This is a point which could be discussed in a documentary about Eccles College.
This is a close up shot of the vegetables. This makes the documentary more interesting for the audience.
This is a shot of a student gardening in the college. This is a long shot of the person. This is a shot which you would see in a documentary.
This is a medium close up of a student from the college. In this the student is breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to the audience. This is a device found in most
documentaries. This could be improved by using a plain wall as the background, or a relevant object.
This is a long shot of a student talking directly to the camera. This is a shot which would be usually seen in a documentary and the background makes the student easily visible to the
audience.
This is a medium shot of the student talking directly to the camera. This is a typical shot in which the person on screen is usually giving their opinion.
This is a filler shot we have taken. This is a another fact which could be discussed within a documentary about Eccles College.
