    INTRODUCTION

    Steve Wozniak was an American computer

    engineer who founded Apple Computer,with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne.

    Wozniak has several nicknames, including "TheWoz", "Wonderful Wizard of Woz" and "I Woz.

    "WozHe is also known as the "Other Steve" of Apple

    Computer.

    EARLY LIFE

    As a kid, he loved electronics.

    By fifth grade he was building very large computer-like projects.

    He got his HAM radio license in sixth grade as well.

    he started working with John Draper who wasworking on the "blue box.

    He helped people build their own computers andpassed out schematics.

    Steve Jobs hooked up with him, suggesting theybuild a PC board, and together they went intobusiness.

    They started out with fifty boards, hoping to sellthem all. It was a big investment for them, but theywere young and having fun. Steve Jobs had said,"Even if we lose our money, at least we had acompany.

    On April 1, 1976, Jobs and Wozniak formed AppleComputer.

    Jobs and Wozniak sold their first 100 computers to PaulTerrell, who was starting a new computer shop, called theByte Shop, in Mountain View, California.

    It was sold at $666.6 .

    Wozniak did not return to Apple after recoveringfrom the plane crash.

    Instead, he married Clark and returned to UCBerkeley under the name "Rocky Raccoon Clark"

    finally earning his undergraduate degree in 1986.

    Wozniak has provided all the money for the technology

    program for his local school district.

    In 1983 he decided to return to Apple productdevelopment, but he wanted no more of a role than that

    In 1997, he was named a Fellow of the ComputerHistory Museum.

    the Apple I personal computer kit.

    first West Coast Computer Faire. Apple II came withcolor graphics and an open architecture.

    It had 5 1/4 inch floppy disk drive while

    Steve Jobs announce partnership with Intel and broughtup Mac Book pro, iMac using Intels Processors.

    By August 7, 2006 Apple had transitioned the entire Macproduct line to Intel chips, over 1 year sooner thanannounced.
