Infrared Sensors

High-Efficiency Lavatory Faucets

High-Efficiency Dishwashers

What Is It?

An electronic device that emits and/or detects infrared radiation in order to sense some aspect of its surroundings. Infrared sensors can measure the heat of an object, as well as detect motion.

Infrared waves are not visible to the human eye. In the electromagnetic spectrum, infrared radiation can be found between the visible and microwave regions.

INFRARED SENSORS

How It Works:

Infrared sensors are classified into two types:

Thermal Infrared Sensors – use infrared energy as heat. Photo sensitivity is independent of wavelength being detected. Do not require cooling and have slow response, as well as low detection capabilities.

Quantum Infrared Sensors – provide higher detection performance and faster response speed. Photo sensitivity is dependent on wavelength. Must be cooled to obtain accurate measurements.

INFRARED SENSORS

Easy or Complicated?

Sensors are fairly complicated because there are multiple variables that affect the input and output, as well as the accuracy of their measured results.

What Is It?

LAVATORY FAUCETS

Faucets used in public and commercial restrooms that are used to reduce water wastage by measuring the amount of water required for a particular purpose.

How It Works:

Aerators – add air into the water stream to increase the sensation of flow

Laminar Flow Devices – force water through small openings to produces dozens of parallel water streams, creating more uniform flow

Flow Regulators – Controls flow through means other than aerating the water stream or creating laminar flow LAVATORY FAUCETS

Easy or Complicated?

An easy way to save money on water and energy costs!

Professional installation recommended to ease installation process. Video tutorials are available online to assist with installation.

LAVATORY FAUCETS

What Is It and How It Works:

DISHWASHERS

Dishwashers that employ advanced technology by using less water and energy to use efficiently

Reuse and recirculate water to clean dishes

Did you know that the average dishwasher built before 1994 used more than 10 gallons per cycle!

High efficiency dishwasher can save up to 1600 gallons of water a year.

Easy or Complicated?

Much like any appliance, they can be easily installed with proper instructions, but many can be professionally installed upon delivery into your home.

Using energy efficient models also help save the environment. Less electricity is used to maintain, which emits less greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The result is reduction in air pollution, combats global climate change, and protects natural water sources (such as lakes, streams and oceans).
