Prof. Mohan Jacob General Secretary: A/Prof. Shashidhar Murthy Auditor: Mr. Sunil Dixit Townsville’s 3 rd Adani India Fest was held on the 29 th of October 2016 with an aim to promote cultural integration by showcasing Indian cultural diversity to the local community of Townsville. Once again the majestic Riverway grounds at Kirwan were transformed into all that is Indian from 10.00 am to 9.00pm. Within hours the ground was packed with people eager to have a kaleidoscopic glimpse into all that India has to offer. The morning sessions were primarily workshops like Yoga, Indian dances & music. These served as an apt prelude to the subsequent performances that followed on stage. The 3rd Adani India Fest Townsville celebrated traditional dances with India’s most authentic art forms, like Bharata Natyam, Kathak and fusion of classical and contemperory dances.
