• Press Jaw InstallationStep 1: Unplug the tool

Step 2: Place proper size jaw, open locking pin

Step 3: Align tool, push locking pin in


• Press Jaw RemovalStep 1: Unplug the tool

Step 2: Position tool vertically

Step 3: Slide locking pin open

Step 4: Lift tool from jaw

– Press Jaws• Remove jaws, clean dirt

using wire brush

• Lubricate bolts, pins and sliding segment

– Roller Drive and Locking Pin• Clean/lubricate guide

bracket and holding pin

• Replace severely worn or damaged parts

Proper Installation Procedures

Step 2: Clean/inspect pipe ends

• Marking the Pipe– Pressfit Marking Gauge

Step 1: Insert pipe until pipe end contacts stop

Step 2: Mark pipe along edge of gauge

Step 3: Remove gauge from pipe end


• Marking the Pipe– Ruler or Tape Measure

Step 1: Measure back from pipe end, place mark around pipe circumference

Refer to “Pressfit Insertion Depth Requirements” table (I-500 pg. 19)

Step 1: Measure back from pipe end, place mark around pipe circumference

• Product AssemblyStep 1: O-rings seated

Step 1a: O-rings free of dirt, debris, grease, oil residue

Step 2: Lubricate o-rings, DO NOT OVER LUBRICATE WITH VIC-LUBE

– insert pipe until contact with pipe stop; make sure pipe is inserted up to mark

Step 3a: Slip Couplings – insert pipe fully up to mark

straighten joint; full insertion

Step 5: Press both sides of coupling with Victaulic Pressfit Tool


• Pressing OperationStep 1: Attach cord to

tool and plug in

Step 2: Pick up tool and place hands as shown

Step 3: Open press jaws


• Pressing OperationStep 4: Slide press jaws

over fitting

Step 5: Close jaws


• Pressing OperationStep 6: Press/hold

switch until cycle is complete

Step 7: Release switch

Step 8: Release jaws, remove tool

• If pressed joint does not look like this picture, the joint must be redone.
