    Vision / Mission of

    VUMS Department

    To execute e-learning implementations to the entire360training client base. To provide support for all existingimplementations that are utilizing 360training technology.

    The organization, most importantly, will provide prompt andaccurate communication regarding each task back to thereporter(s) based upon the priority of the issue and theassociated Service Level Agreement

    WHAT IS VUMS?

    The term VUMS is the abbreviation of Virtual University Management System.

    It is basically used to manage the tools that comes under Admin Tools that helps for

    developing VUs and managing them.

    Brief Description of the VUMS:

    VUMS is working towards everything that is related to VUs and VARS.

    Below are some examples:Course uploads,

    Establishment of Parent Child Relationship

    discount codes setup,

    certificates management,

    emails routing,

    commission setups,

    validation,

    price changes,

    logos uploads,

    course descriptions,

    EOC instructions.

    Step by Step Process

    On the next slide I will take you through a step by step procedure on how theVUMS department functions.

    How VUMS Works:

    Any issue needs to be fixed goes through a procedure.

    Step 1: Nature of issue and if it is related to VUMS then a ticket through JIRA

    needs to be assigned to VUMS.

    Step 2: Once the issue assigned to VUMS it goes to the PK Manager and he

    first verify the issue.

    Step 3: Then assigned it the team member and the team member is supposed

    to give an ETA (Estimated Time of Assignment) that depends upon the priority of

    the issue.

    Step 4: When the turn of that issue comes, he then verifies the issue and then

    rectifies the issue through VUMS tools.

    Step 5: Once the issue resolved then VUMS has to mention the LOE (Level

    of Effort)

    Earlier the problems were submitted to VUMS through Bugzilla,

    then through function point and in last it was changed to

    Sharepoint and now everything is done by filling a ticketthrough JIRA.

    The advantage of JIRA is that it is more enhanced and inter

    connected with 360training. Now all communication goesthrough one ticket for a particular issue rather than shooting

    couple of emails etc.

    CONTENTBUG

    VUMS also getting the tickets regarding the Content.

    It usually comes through Customer Support.Anything within the course player goes to content team in Austin. Outside the

    course player depends upon the issue whether it can be resolved through VUMS

    otherwise it will go to Engineering Support or Production.

    VUMS can resolve the following issues

    1 Price Issue

    2 CE Hours Issue

    3 Description

    4 Tier Settings

    5 Disable / Delete courses

    6 Updating Course ID

    The tickets that we usually / mostly assign to them are

    regarding verification of P & C relationship.

    VUMS has a tool called ASV Add State Vertical and this

    tool allows them to edit / delete or view Child VU for a

    particular Parent. The tool is consisting of:

    SID : Student IdentificationCID: Client Identification

    PID: Package Identification
