Reality Check….In the future, Internet capacity
will increase indefinitely to keep up with the egos of the
people using it.Cost will not be an issue.
ACCELERATED CHANGE
The pace of change is accelerating….. the result will be far greater transformations in the
first two decades of the twenty-first century than we saw in the entire
twentieth century.Ray Kurzwell - The Age of Spiritual Machines
CULTURAL REALITY…• Access to computer at home • Access to the Internet at home.• College Work Schoolwork/projects etc.

• We need to make the technology transparent to teachers – so it is an enabler and teachers can concentrate on the teaching
• We need to ensure teachers can maximise the use of the technology – so ongoing CPD is essential
• We need to make the technology powerful for learning – so teachers can better tailor materials to match student needs
• We need to make ICT relevant for teachers and meet their needs – so teachers can release the potential of 21st century learning In the future Broadband will be a necessary – but not
sufficient – infrastructure to support learning.
