Most individuals will gravitate to the safety of the path well trodden. For they

desire, above all else, to have a clearly laid out road map, to know beforehand where the journey shall lead them. Yes, it is a reassuring path to take. But it is also a

path that affords little reward or fulfillment.

And then there are individuals- necessarily few in number- who bravely and defiantly

digress from such secure paths, so they may discover brave new worlds. And it is to

celebrate, nurture, and inspire these mavericks among men and women that the

Woxsen School of Business was founded.

It is the School’s ethos that those individuals who refuse to be content with

being mere job seekers- the individuals who would much rather create jobs for others

by exercising their innate entrepreneurial nature- will truly come into their own

upon being exposed to quality education, mentorship and guidance.

Essentially, Woxsen aims to produce thousands of inspired entrepreneurs

whose genius is undeniable.

World of GAME CHANGERS

Being an entrepreneur entails a different set of skills and dealing with myriad challenges. How does one innovate and create products based on imperfect and incomplete information? How does one build and execute a business models for markets that are yet to exist? How does one bootstrap to get things done with sparse resources in hand? How does one attract and retain talent for start-ups that do not provide the same certainty and rewards as established organizations?

Woxsen’s aspirations germinate from these insights. We asked ourselves if it is possible to create a 360 DEGREE ecosystem that trains aspiring entrepreneurs to actually become entrepreneurs. The one - year PGP in Entrepreneurial Development is a culmination of our comprehensive business research, conviction and mission to inspire, educate and empower future entrepreneurs.

The need to identify, nurture and support aspiring and budding entrepreneurs is an urgent need for a growing economy such as that of India. With this in mind, Woxsen School of Business has created an ecosystem for development of entrepreneurial spirit amongst the participants of the program – PGP in Entrepreneurial Development. It aims to create entrepreneurs with a difference – Entrepreneurs who are driven by passion and equipped with core functional skills in Leadership, Organization, Communication and Strategy to drive their business ventures.

2

Primary goal of the program

“Familiarize students with the distinct organizational, economic, market, social and other impediments that entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ventures invariably confront; and provide them with the combination of knowledge, insights and abilities that are necessary to diminish or overcome those impediments.”

Welcome... To The World of GAME CHANGERS

Woxsen curriculum enables you to acquire knowledge and competencies that are necessary to create and manage business. Entrepreneurial activities involve disruptive innovation and discovery-oriented creativity. In order to succeed, entrepreneurs must ensure that there is a harmonious co-existence of two key facets:

a) Vision and Strategy b) Operational execution and organizational dynamics.

To these ends, the curriculum focuses on LOCS, the central elements of entrepreneurial DNA:

a) Leadership, b) Organization, c) Communication, and d) Strategy.

3

Thus, the learning system has two dimensions:

Design Criteria

The LOCS approach ensures that changes happen

not only at the functional level but also at the belief system level. The training

approach centers on ‘Discontinuous Learning’ - an approach that enables in-class learning and practice. This ensures a simultaneous

practice-based approach that is powered by sound business research and theory

- the trade tower will provide a platform to actuate your ideas

into action.

The experiential programs bring together Woxsen students, faculty, and the business world to investigate and develop solutions to complex challenges facing businesses today. Some of the exciting experiential programs are mentioned below.

The PGP in Entrepreneurial Development curriculum has five core components.

Visit startups and growing companies (cities across the country)- learn about the culture and gain a better understanding of various responsibil it ies and challenges from the entrepreneurs. These corporate visits also include discussion panels and networking opportunities with entrepreneurs and their organizational members.

Most business problems have several solutions. But it is still a mystery as to which ones work and which don’t in a given context. Experience and wisdom might come in handy in such scenarios and uncertainty could be brought down to a great extent. It is in this landscape that Woxsen intends to provide solutions in the form of treatment for business problems to companies that approach it.

Simulation games that enable you to appreciate the dynamics of building and running companies.
