Welcome letter by the President of the Congress

No doubt cardiology is one of the fields in Medicine that has evolved more in the last decades.Continuous evolution of technology, new trials and research are rapidly appearing in Cardiology. The aim of this Meeting is to review, with a critical eye, what has recently appeared in Cardiology and also provide cutting edge information of the State of the Art.

Lectures combined with clinical case presentations will be the structure of the program. Top teachers, from relevant organizations will come to share their knowledge with all of us. Willing to interact with all of you in Madrid and hope this course will be beneficial for you and your patients.

European AccreditationEBACThe event “Cardiology in Practice 2017. What to know and how to apply knowledge” is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) for 12 hours of External CME credits. Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that have actually been spent in the educational activity. EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).

EACCMEThe “Cardiology in Practice 2017. What to know and how to apply knowledge” is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

The “Cardiology in Practice 2017. What to know and how to apply knowledge” is designated for a maximum of 11 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

RegistrationThe meeting is free to attend.

Technical facilitiesFacilities will be available for computer presentations and overhead projections.A slide center with PC (Powerpoint for Windows) will be available for check and preview of presentations. It is essential that speakers take their presentation to the slide center at least one hour before the session starts.The slide center will be open at the following times:Thursday, February 23rd from 11.00 a.m. to 07.30 p.m.Friday, February 24th from 08.30 a.m. to 07.00 p.m.Saturday, February 25th from 08.30 a.m. to 02.00 p.m.
