The extension of Pasali's Agroforestry of rubber trees interlayed with System of Rice Intensification rice and corn crops began this year. Partner Department of Agriculture extends the 2 hectares invested in by Pasali Netherlands and Pasali Philippines, with 10 hectares worth of rubber seedlings.

Delivery & Turn-over seedlings

Delivery

Hevea buddings / Rubber seedlings 1st delivery from Brgy.Kalaong,Maitum Sarangani

Province to Brgy. Milbuk, Palimbang Sultan Kudarat, on March 31, 2012

Unload 2,000 hills of rubber seedlings with the participation of youths.

Turn over

Received by Honorable Mohamad E. Aron, Kagawad and Committee chair on

Education and Ways & Means of Brgy. Napnapon, Palimbang Sultan Kudarat

accompanied by Honorable Dipatu Kabon, Kagawad and Committee chair on Peace &

Order on April 1, 2012 at Brgy. Milbuk, Palimbang Sultan Kudarat.

The image is the hand over from Brgy. Council representative Hon. Aron to the Tri –

People representative Chieftain Duma of Biao Brgy. Napnapon Palimbang Sultan

Kudarat.

It was hand over by Mr. Charles A. Ty, Agroforestry Facilitator the representative of PASALI

Philippines Foundation Inc, attested by the colleagues Mr. Salido M. Panalon, FSS-SRI

project coordinator and Mr. Junny U. Ansa, Technician and with the presence of

Indigenous People representative Chieftain Duma M. Bonifacio.

The Chieftain hand over to the beneficiaries, such as:

Purok Kamantis with travel distance of estimated 10 kilometers from Milbuk

Purok Kaluplop with travel distance of estimated 12 kilometers from Milbuk

Purok Pampangi with travel distance of estimated 14 kilometers from Milbuk

Purok Mimacao with travel distance of estimated 15.5 kilometers from Milbuk

This 4 puroks are covered / within the vicinity of Biao Brgy. Napnapon Palimbang Sultan

Kudarat and are the site or location for the planting of hevea buddings/rubber seedlings

at 1 hectare/purok.

Farm to market road from Milbuk to Biao/Napnapon is not viable / accessible to transport

by trucks / vehicles and even motorcycles in a while and therefore the recommendation

to LGU’s for improvement and renovation are needed.

Hauling by means of horses

The image below is the other means of hauling:

Bayanihan

Due to lack of horses, the community initiatives comes in thru the essence of

“Bayanihan“. This is the acceptance of community, become pro-active and synergized,

their eagerness and dynamism shown on this aspect, the difficulties of transporting rubber

seedlings is not hindrance on achieving bright future and towards to the future of their

coming generation, struggling for the new development and become model community

as a challenge of long decade identified as isolated and almost forgotten community.

With this follow up intervention, for them on this community, they’ve seen the light at the

end of the tunnel, or on the other hand they’ve say that our dreams almost come thru.

Sacrifice is the secret of the success

The reality goes on, the precious of transplanting these rubber seedlings is the benchmark

of their new life, considering on forest conservation, preservation of natural environment,

and contribute to the climate change. Please see the image belown:
