The OWNERmay waive any informalities or mino defects or reject any and alBIDS. PREVAILINGWAGE:

The successful bidder will be required to pay the prevailing rate of wages asfound and published in the City of Chillicothe to II laborers, workmen, andmechanics performing work under this Contract.

DISPOSALOF MATERIALREMOVED:

The Contractor shall be responsible for legally di posing all materials remove .

CONTRACTTIME

The work shall be completed within 60 calend r days after the contract ate.Additional time may be granted if materials are n t readily av~ilable.

WORKINGRESTRICTIONS

Nowork shall be done during times when funerals re in progress. Everyeffort hallbe made to minimize disturbances to graveside s rvices. Wbrk may occur on theday of the funeral but no work shall be done durin gravesidJ services.

CONSTRUCTIONTRAFFIC

The Contractor shall coordinate access to the site ith the Cit~of Chillicothe Pu licWorks Superintendent. The Contractor shall not ncroach on any grave area orheadstones. Appropriate traffic control shall be es ablished ot, Cloverdale Roa orFourth Street as required by the applicable section of the Stahdard S ecificati nsfor Road and Bridge Construction and the guidelin s contained in the Illinois Ma ualon Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Hi hwa Standardis and the Stand rdSpecifications for Traffic Control Items.

All traffic control required shall be considered inci ental to the contract and w Inot be paid for separately.

The Contractor shall remove all existing fencing and posts within the limit 0 theproject and shall legally dispose of all excess ma erials.

FENCE REMOVAL

The contractor shall furnish and install 42" high rnamental rence with thefollowing specifications:

Two rail with 5/8" pickets, 2"sq. posts 8" 0 . Posts to ~ave steel baseplates. Plates anchored into existing concr te along Cloverdale Rd.

The Contractor shall provide an additive alternate bid removal and installatio offencing of the same type along Fourth St.

CLEANUP

All areas distrubed by the construction shall be repaired to a like condition hatexisted prior to construction. This may include, b t is not limited to, grading, to soilplacement and seeding.

UTILITIES

The Contractor shall notify J.U.L.I.E. and the City f Chillicotf1e to obtain fieldlocations of utilities prior to beginning work. The Contractor shall make everyeffort to protect existing utilities.

PEORIA COUNTY

The following list is considered as those days for which holiday ratesof wages for work performed apply: New Years Day, Memorial Day,E'ourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day andVeterans Day in some classifications/counties. Generally, any ofthese holidays which fallon a Sunday is celebrated on the followingMonday. This then makes work performed on that Monday payable at theappropriate overtime rate for holiday pay. Common practice in a givenlocal may alter certain days of celebration. If in doubt, pleasecheck with IDOL.

Oil and chip resealing (O&C) means the application of road oIls andliquid asphalt to coat an existing road surface, followed byapplication of aggregate chips or gravel to coated surface, andeubaequan t rolling of material to seal the surface.E:XPLANATION OF CLASSE:S

ASBESTOS - GENE:RAL - removal of asbestos material/mold and hazardousmaterials from any place in a building, including mechanical systemswhere those mechanical systems are to be removed. This includes theremoval of asbestos materials/mold and hazardous materials fromduct.work or pipes in a building when the building is to be demolishedat the time or at some close future date.

ASBESTOS MECHANICAL - removal of asbestos material from mechanicalsystems, such as pipes, ducts, and boilers, where the mechanicalsystems are to remain.

CERAMIC TILE fINISHER, MARBLE FINISHER, TERRAZZO fINISHER

Assisting, helping or supporting the tile, marble and terrazzomechanic by performing their historic and traditional work assignmentsrequired to complete the proper installation of the work covered bysaid crafts.
