Welcome to the 2015 coNDoR libeRatioN cavalcaDe Set to be the biggest of recent years, the Condor Liberation Cavalcade will start from four different departure points that all convene at Salerie Corner to drive south down the Glategny Esplanade, across the Weighbridge Roundabout and down the Sea Front to the Slaughterhouse where it will return to complete its return journey. The four departure points are:

2pm Le Vaugrat campsite at L’Islet – for the 135 pre 1946 military vehicles – from Guernsey, England, Switzerland, Germany and Holland

2.15pm L’Ancresse – for the pre 1945 historic civilian vehicles including vintage cars, motorcycles plus a representation of the Worshipful Company of Carmen

2pm Bulwer Avenue – for the handcrafted floats and Guernsey’s vintage and classic tractors

2.30pm Salerie Corner – for the Guernsey Majorettes, Guernsey Scout Band and Boys Brigade Band The Condor Liberation Cavalcade will be preceded by the Cavalcade Military Parade and will consist of:

Bugles and Drums of the Stedfast Association (BADOTSA)

Serving military personnel from HMS Northumberland and HMS Daring plus 3 Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (3PWRR) Local and visiting veterans, including the Royal Chelsea Pensioners, and the Guernsey Standard Bearers The Cavalcade Military Parade will march off from Salerie Corner at 2pm in front of the Condor Liberation Cavalcade that will depart Salerie Corner at 2.30pm. The 2015 Judging Panel for the Cecil De Saumarez “V” TrophyThe judges are Francis Quinn, Board Member Culture & Leisure Department, Rollo de Sausmarez, descendant of Cecil and current Chairman of the Guernsey Bicycle Group (GBG) and Steve Champion-Smith, Executive Director of Cavalcade sponsor Condor Ferries. The winning float will be publically announced on Monday 11 May 2015.
