Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

Wicked people are zealous in seducing others into the paths of the destroyer: sinners love company in sin.

Consent thou not!

They will make it sound so fun; like you will be part of a fun group.

11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

Whatever they are enticing you to do,

Don’t !God’s Way is the only way of blessing.

15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

Don’t even keep company with those who love sin and evil.

Walk with the Lord and His people.

You will pick up their ways of talking, behaving,

And you will reap the consequences with them.

Choose godly friends who love the Lord and His Way; the Way of blessing.

17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

The end results of the traps of sin are always hidden from view until you’re caught.

18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

They think they are harming only their victims, but in truth, they are harming themselves much more.

Even when they commit murder,They are harming themselves more.

If someone killed me – I go to Heaven right then.

But what happens to them?

What causes them to commit these sins?

They are often greedy of gain.1 Timothy 6:10 (NIV) For the love of money is a

root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

They may be seeking pleasure, stuff, acceptance.

Whatever they want, they are looking in the wrong places.

20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you, I will make known My Words unto you.

Wisdom is trying everywhere to be heard.

No one can say, “Nobody told me.”

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simpli-city (foolishness)? and the scorners delight in their scorning (making fun), and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you, I will make known My Words unto you.

It’s not that people can’t hear; it is that

they won’t hear.

They shut their ears and close their eyes.

They don’t want to know.

It’s easier to walk blindly on, claiming that they think they are doing good things.

You can live a victorious life walking with the Lord,
