The more you spread the word about your fundraising the more you wil l be able to raise. Here are some top tips of how to get your message across.
@Media coverage• Local newspapers, radio stations and television,
village newsletters, student magazines and blogs will help you secure free publicity for your event.
• Send a media release with details about you and your fundraising plans and how others can show their support – adding a fun photo will help grab attention! Give us a ring if you’d like a media release template – 01327 356132 or email [email protected]
• Remember! We’d love to see your published stories – please share them with us.
@local advertising• You will find most local businesses
are happy to support people raising money for charity, so why not drop off a few posters or leaflets at your local shop, hairdressers, post office, library, students’ union or pub. Just ask if you would like us to send you over a template poster or you can download one on our website at www.pspassociation.org.uk

Thank you so much for fundraising for us.
When we receive your funds you’ll receive a thank you letter in the post with the total you’ve raised. If you would like us to provide you with a certificate let us know and we will happily send one out.
The money you have raised will go directly towards helping those living with PSP and CBD, be it through funding our Specialist Care Advisers, holding more local groups, or funding research into the causes, treatments and eventually a cure for PSP and CBD.
Thank you!

Quotes from fundraisers
£50 funds laboratory equipment for a day’s research
£20 could provide a carers information
packShirley Hurstwaite has raised more than £2,300 for PSPA from selling her delicious home-made jam. She holds garden fêtes in the summer with her husband Derek, who is living with CBD.
Lisa Kirkland shaved her head and raised £1,087.12
Christine Esslemont is organising and encouraging 40 people to Fire Walk.
Estimated fundraising total: £5,000
“It is Derek that motivates me to raise funds. I sel l the jam and he sel ls his plants at the fetes. It is a lot
of effort to make the jam but I like to help.”
£3000 funds a researcher for one month to help find a cure for PSP
“I decided to fundraise after my friend Kieran Linanne died from P SP last year. I wanted to raise awareness of the charity as much as I wanted to raise funds. My hair has certainly invited some
questions. The work P SP A does with people affected by P SP and their families is invaluable and I was more
than happy to help in anyway I could!”
“I like helping less fortunate
members of the community, and I
have enjoyed motivating people to
join in this worthy cause. ”
£300 funds the
