PSR Newsletter 6 March 2016
General Announcements Living Christ Retreat The Living Christ Retreat will be held at St. Paul from Thursday, March 17 through Saturday, March 19. Cost is $20 per person and $30 per couple. All volunteers and parents are asked to prayerfully consider attending this wonderful Lenten retreat where you will be able to encounter Christ more deeply. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Reaching for Tomorrow The Reaching for Tomorrow campaign has reached a crucial and exciting point. We finally have an approved final plan for the school building. Pledges are still needed and with your help, construction will begin as soon as the end of this school year. Help us reach this important next step in educating the future generations in the ways of the faith. Please see the attached brochure for more information including how to give. Fish-Fry Fridays The Knights of Columbus is once again sponsoring Fish-Fry Fridays during Lent. Please see the attached flyer for times, dates, location, and menu.
Monday Announcements Closing Prayer & Announcements Closing prayer will be done through the Office, together with announcements. Teachers are encouraged to either find, or have the class write a prayer associated with the Saint, holiday, or season listed on the Closing Prayer Schedule. The PSR office will not be providing the prayers for closing prayer this year, but may be resource for prayers that are already written, or developing new prayers. March 7: St. Peter – Early – Labbe/Velegol; Late – Harper/Miles March 14: St. Patrick – Early – Poston; Late – ?????? March 21: Holy Week – Early – ??????; Late – ?????? Prayer Schedule There are openings for all prayers at the end of the class session starting March 14. Please sign up in the office if your class is interested in saying another prayer at announcement time. Absences Please remember to call or email as soon as you know you will be absent for a class session. The Diocese requires that we have two adults in every classroom and since we do not have any flex aides in either session it is not as easy to find people to sub in a room. Please help us by informing us as soon as possible. Living Christ Retreat Posters All 4th and 5th grade classes will be making posters for the Living Christ Retreat. All materials for the posters will be provided. Posters are to be turned in at the end of class on March 14. Please remind students to only write their first name on the posters. Any others messages must be brief and appropriate for those attending the retreat.
