PSTS breaks its own records in coal despatch in Karaikal Port Single Day RecordPSTS despatched 6 coal rakes loading in a day on 31st march 2016 and

broke its earlier record of 5 coal rakes in a day that was set in 2015. Single Month Record

In the month of March 2016, PSTS loaded 105 coal rakes and broke the earlier record of 104 coal rakes that was set in May 2012.

Annual Record

In the year 2015-2016 PSTS loaded 898 coal rakes of 29.84 lac tons and broke the earlier record of loading 875 coal rakes of 28.94 lac tons in the year 2014-2015.

PSTS launches its 'new-improved' WebsiteA pioneer in the Logistics industry, PSTS has

always been an early adaptor to new technology both in terms of business processes and in the execution of its challenging projects. Being a B2B business, to communicate its varied business offerings and competence built over the years, it commissioned a website with its technology partner Clasticon Solutions in 2006. The company has come a long way since then and the old website did not keep pace with its current capabilities or its global ambitions.

In keeping with its motto of Championing Customer Delight, it has completely re-vamped the website using latest technology targeted at an international audience. This newly designed website of PSTS, is optimized for access across devices. This is a sure step in their long haul to be a player in the increasingly digitalized world.

PSTS handles one lakh MT raw sugar export in Karaikal Port:

Thiruarooraan Sugar exported raw sugar - 1,03,750 MT to Myanmar through various shipments in the financial year 2015-2016. PSTS provided stevedoring services for the vessels MV SING 3, MV Southern Spirit, MV Goa, MV Calm Bay in the Karaikal Port.

PSTS handles a car carrier for the first time in the Port of Chennai:

MV. "Maria India" - a RORO vessel arrived on 12th March 2016 at Chennai Port to load Ashok Leyland Trucks. This being the first time call of MV Maria India to Chennai Port, Mr Cyril C. George, Chairman In-Charge, Chennai Port had flagged off the operation. Ashok Leyland, the exporter had shipped out 67 trucks to Colombo, 5ri Lanka.

PSTS steers ahead in steel handling in Kattupalli Port

Earlier PSTS received an award by L&T Kattupalli Port for achieving a steel cargo throughput of One lakh tonne within a period of about one year in 2015.. However, we are now proud to state that PSTS has handled a quantity of 72,175 M/tons of steel cargo in 3 months viz., between Jan., 2016 and March, 2016 in Kattupalli Port. The cargo mix comprises HR coils, CR Coils, HR steel plates, CR plates and TMT Bars.

Space Day: Space astronauts need a suit that protects the body from heat and cold. Space suit is a very complicated machine with air conditioning, heating, air to breathe and water to drink. Space suit allows astronauts wearing it to fly around in space. Our little ones at Smile school came dressed as astronauts and made an exciting learning experience about space and planets.

Pongal 0' Pongal: Thai Pongal is celebrated for over four days, usually spanning January 13 to 16 in the Gregorian calendar. It is a harvest festival, a traditional occasion for giving thanks to nature, for celebrating the life cycles that give us grain. Given an insight about Pongal, the children sang Pongal song along and enjoyed the sweet Pongal.

Years rolled by and more years to come by. Our little children are ready to fly out in lively colours graduated from pre-school with much fun and frolic. All dressed up in graduation robes and posing for a click was memorable enough.

Pongal Celebrations: Pongal celebrations were held in Main School on January 14th. The skit "Manimekalai" was fantabulous which has colorful and vibrant dances like Oyillattam, Karagattam, Bharathanatyam. The II Language teachers prepared Pongal to worship the Sun God.

Republic Day: To enhance the patriotic feeling in the young minds, Republic Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 26th January. Dr. Jeyarama Pandian, a Tamil Scholar was the Chief Guest. He gave an inspirational presidential address which triggered patriotism. After the formal function,Inter-House 'Poem in Action' competition was held on the theme "Child Abuse". It was not only a competition but an awareness programme on how to stop child abuse. Inter-School Tamil Debate Competition was also held on the topic,"Kulanthailakukku Samudhayathil Padhukapu Alikapadukirathu, Alikapadavillai". Dr. Jeyarama Pandian was the Judge for the competition.

Book Fair: On 23rd January we had a very intellectual programme 'The Book Fair'. The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. Mary Nirmala. Class V students gave a programme based on books. The students rummaged through the bookstalls to add up to their best collection of books.

KG Day: KG Day was celebrated on February 11th, 2016. The kids of the Vikasa dressed up in different costumes to exhibit their talents. The theme of the play was "The Land of Make Believe". The parents felt excited to watch their kids on stage. Mrs. Puspalatha Poornam, Correspondent, Puspalatha School presided over the function.

Graduation Day: One of the novel celebrations in Vikasa is the Graduatiorl bay, a special gathering of Class XII students' family to witness the) Graduation Ceremony of their children. There were inspirational and) motivational speeches by Principal and Vice Principals. The audience cheered on seeing the beautiful play "The Wizard of Oz" enacted by Class VI students.
