The Restoration section started the rescue of Al-

Ruwais Mosque. And in the process of preparing the

restoration project

Workshop was divided into two parts:

Theoretical part:

1) It was explained type of timber in the

ceiling of the old palace and the type of

infection where the infection was from

termites and burrowing beetle wood.

2) And also to explain the different

treatment methods and why treatment

was chosen with foam agent specifically

for the case of ceiling of the old palace

where this method insure the penetration

of the Microsene material for the largest

incursion deep inside the wood and the

survival of the active substance for the

longest possible period, ensuring future

protection up to 10 years.

3) The explanation of the device used in the

treatment with foam agent and its

components and the optimal mode of

operation for the best results.

4) Execution steps are explained from the

preparation of material and the mixture

into how the application and device

control

• To complete the supporting process to the rest

of the walls and openings ”doors and windows”

• Ceiling propping

• Minerate propping.
