QR is short form of Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone). A QR code uses four standardized encoding modes (numeric, alphanumeric, byte / binary, and kanji (china data representation language ) to efficiently store data; extensions may also be used. The QR Code system has become most popular among and outside the automotive industry due to its fast readability and greater storage capacity compared to others barcode symbology. Applications include product tracking, item identification, time tracking, document management, general marketing, and much more The reason of its most usefulness is that they can store (and digitally present) much more data, including URL links, geo coordinates, and text. The other key feature of QR Codes is that instead of requiring a chunky hand-held scanner to scan them, many modern cell phones can scan them.

QR Code is a most important symbology of barcode generation they comes to india from Japan where

they are very common. QR is short form of Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone). A

TYPES OF QR CODE BARCODES

1. QR CODE Model 1 and model 2:

In QR CODE Model 1 has is known as original QR Code, a code capable of coding 1,167 numerals with its maximum version being 14 (73 x 73 modules) and QR CODE Model 2 created by improving Model 1 so that this code can be read smoothly even if it is

distorted in either way. QR Codes that are printed on a curved surface or whose reading images are distorted due to the reading angle can be read efficiently by referring to an

alignment pattern embedded in them.

2. Micro QR CODE:

A major feature of Micro QR Code is the one position detection pattern, compared to normal QR Code that require a certain amount of area because position detection patterns

are located at the three corners of a symbol. Further, QR Code requires more margins in corner of Code while it require less in micro QR code.

3. iQR Code:

iQR Code is a matrix based 2D code allowing easy reading of its position and size. This

QR code allows wide range size for codes from ones smaller than the traditional QR Code and Micro QR Code and have high data storage capacity that all precious one

4. SQRC Code:

SQRC is a type of QR Code which is equipped with reading restricting function other then all. This can be used to store private information about product and to manage

business internal information.

5. LogoQ:

LogoQ is a latest type of QR Code generated to have enhanced visual recognizability by combining it with letters and pictures in full color. LogoQ is having logo appended in the normal QR code.

1. Go to DRPU barcode label maker tool

2. Select 2D BARCODE standard from the designing screen and set font as QR Code

barcode.
