Before You Begin Installation: Congratulations on your purchase ofQuadratec Tubular Side Steps for yourJeep® Wrangler. These custom fit stepshave been designed for long life and agreat look. Though constructed of onlythe finest materials, these steps must bemaintained to keep their look while per-forming under the toughest conditions.Please see page 5 for important careand maintenance tips to keep yoursteps looking like new.

As you unpack your steps, be careful not to scratch the finish witha knife or razor. We strongly suggest placing your unpacked tubularside steps back into the original box so they do not get scratchedbefore the installation begins.

Step One: Remove Body Mount BoltsPut on safety glasses. Starting on theDriver’s side, Locate the two (front andrear) factory installed body mount bolts(Figures 1 & 2). Using a 5/8” Socket,remove the front and rear body mount
bolts leaving the rubber bushing in place.Place these two bolts in a safe place.These bolts will be used in the next stepto install the mounting brackets to yourJeep® Wrangler vehicle.
Step Two: Install Mounting BracketsLocate two mounting brackets (item C).Install the mounting brackets up againstthe body mount bushing to the front andrear body mounts using the factory bolts.
Make sure the end of the mountingbracket is pointed down (Fig 3 & 4).DO NOT Tighten! Leave these loose forfurther adjustment.
Step Three: Attach Tubular Side StepLocate the driver’s side tube step (A). Thefront of the tube step will have the longerleg of the bar facing forward (Fig 5).Using a 3/4” box end wrench, install thesupplied 12mm bolt (D), 12mm lockwasher (F) and 12mm flat washer (E) tofront of the tube step to front mountingbracket (Fig 6). Hand tighten only.
TIP: Contrary to what it says on theplastic end caps, we recommend leaving
them installed on the step ends to helpprevent any metal on metal contact withthe bracket. Repeat for the rear of thetube step not forgetting to use the sup-plied lock washer and flat washer. Again,hand tighten only at this time. Ensuring that the tube step is level,slowly tighten all the bolts on both thefront and rear of the tube step. Each boltshould be tightened to the followingTorque Specs:
Step Four: Install Passenger Tube Step Repeat steps one through three on thepassenger side of the vehicle making sure
all lock washers and flat washers are in-stalled correctly and the bolts are tight-ened to the above torque specifications.
Your Tubular Side Steps have beendesigned and manufactured to provideyears of use. However, like any product,general maintenance is required to keepthem looking new.
Since the steps are located on the under-side of the vehicle, it is subject to poten-tial rock chips and other debrispotentially causing portions of the paintto chip off. We recommend using a tex-tured or gloss black spray paint sprayedon a piece of cardboard and Q-Tip to gen-tly fill in these chips. This will preventany rust from forming.
On all Tubular Side Steps there is achance of some surface rust showing overtime due to metal particles being embed-ded in the paint. This surface rust is eas-ily removed by a non-abrasivecleaner/polish and a soft brush (not ametal brush!).
For Tubular Side Steps with a texturedfinish, wash only with soapy water andavoid other waxes and polishes. For Tu-bular Side Steps with a smooth finish, werecommend using a non-abrasive car waxon the parts on a regular basis. This willprotect the finish and keep your productlooking like new. For gloss black andstainless finishes, micro scratches canoccur from daily use of the Tubular SideSteps. To remove these scratches we rec-ommend a mild aluminum polish.
However, before using any polish, try atest area on the back side of the productbefore using it on the front, exposed sur-face to test abrasive level of the polish. Ifit causes more scratches, STOP and use amilder polish.

Our glass panels are30mil thick and DOT approved for the ultimate in clarity and durability and feature leak proof heatseals. All windows are completely removable foropen air enjoyment.
5. Zippers: QuadraTop window zippers arestitched in place like the original tops and featurejam resistant technology and heavyduty plastic teeth. Side quarterwindows feature single metalpulls while the rear glasszippers have user friendlydouble pulls.
6. Hook & Loop Attachment: Ourpatterns are fully tested toensure a tight and wrinklefree fit like the originals. Allnecessary snaps and Heavy DutyHook & Loop strips are in place to install over the factory bows andthere’s never any drilling ormodifications required!
7. Belt Rail System: Each QuadraTop utilizes the original belt railattachment methods for a fit that’s as tight as a drum!
8. Upper Door Skins: Our fabric upper doors install in just minutes onto your existing factory upper door frames by hook and loopfastener strips. It’s quick and easy with our step by step illustrated instructions. Fabric upper doors have double sided weather strip bulbseals and double window zipper pulls. Customers requestingwarranty consideration should first contactQuadratec to obtain a RGA number(610-701-3336). All labor, removal, shippingand installation costs are customer’s responsibility.
Other Limitations - Exclusion of Damages -Your Rights Under State Law:In consideration of the purchase price paid, nei-ther Quadratec nor any independent Quadratec distributor/licensee are responsible for any timeloss, rental costs, or for any incidental, conse-quential, punitive or other damages you mayhave or incur in connection with any part orproduct purchased. Your exclusive remedyhereunder for covered parts is repair/replace-ment as described above.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific rights.You may also have other rights that vary fromstate to state.
