For Administration Teams(Primary and Secondary Care)
Archiving User Accounts
• When a doctor is no longer working in Scotland their SOAR user account needs to be archived.
• To archive a User Account:1. Find the user on SOAR2. Click on “Roles” tab3. Click “Remove” to delete all user roles 4. Click “Save”5. Click the button to change account from “Live” to
“Archived”6. Click “Save” again to retain changes
When a User moves to a new Health Board in Scotland
• The Archive function is only used if the doctor is no longer working in Scotland– e.g. moving/relocating/emigrating, retiring, passed
away, etc
• If a doctor is simply moving to a different Health Board in Scotland, their user account does NOT need to be archived
• In this case the doctor’s role needs to be updated– For Reference please use Powerpoint # 102 “Create
New User Accounts and Dealing with Login Requests”
• User Search• Find user and click on
their name• From User Details,
click on the “Roles” tab
• First, the user’s Roles need to be removed by clicking “Remove”
• Click “OK” when popup box appears
• Click “Save”• Account can now be
archived• Click “Save” again to
store changes
