this film promotion project?

Integration technologies defined as the different combination of technology used to enhance and

As for research, I used software, hardware and online as a synergy that help me to reach wider audience not just in Hong Kong but globally. I conducted an online survey for the audience using SurveyMonkey. This is an online survey website where I could design my own questionnaires covered both demographic and psychographic questions.

• Awareness to be more eco-friendly by using advanced technology

• Able to reach wider audience globally - sharing the link through social networking sites (Facebook & Twitter) and applications for cross-platform instant messaging (WhatsApp & WeChat)

To have more research about my audience preference, I made a variety of genre cards (rom-com, action, fantasy & horror) and go around taking photos of my potential audience with their favourite genre card.

• I couldn't reach wider audience limited to people who surrounds me only.

• Could be biased since their preference may not represent most of the audience.

I accumulate all of the photos and made a collage out of it by use Keynote - help me decided the genre I should choose to engage with my potential audience.

PlanningAs for planning, I used:

• Keynote to present my pitch, location recce and characters’ profile

• Pages to plan my script, storyboard, shot list, sound list etc

• Both needs to be converted to PDF, Words or Powerpoint in order to be uploaded using SlideShare.

• I embedded into my blog after I uploaded online on SlideShare.

• This is convenience for me as the advanced technology allows me to be more organisable and eco-friendly in submitting my assessment.

I need to sketch the posters and website then I need to scan those sketches to be uploaded in my blog. Instead of using the scanner machine, I installed CamScanner on my phone, an application that allows me to scan my sketches. I also used this apps to scan the consent forms.

I used free logo maker application to create the same logo from my AS Level Coursework but using different colour to differentiate the genre of the film.

Production• The synergy of hardware, software and online brings out greater

result for my production.• Hardware - Digital Camera (Panasonic HC-VX870M & Panasonic

AG-HMC153MC), tripod, green screen, standing lighting and sound boom. Before we only have one digital camera and tripod, with more equipments available we were able to have practice on a variety of editing and film techniques. I developed my skills on using different equipments.

• Software - Dynamic link of Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop. Credits for official trailer, I used Photoshop to edit the fonts and sequence, imported to After Effects to include the transitions and combined the film ratings from BBFC, MPAA and Hong Kong motion picture rating system and lastly imported to Premiere Pro CC at the last part of the film trailer. I also used dynamic link of Premiere Pro CC and After Effects several times for the written codes because After Effects has a lot more transitions for the typewriting sequence. • Photoshop for ghost effect as an image• After Effects for handwriting title sequence.• Premiere Pro CC - Continuity editing, split screen editing,

disappearing editing tasks, etc.

Production• Software - I used GarageBand for my original

soundtrack in the trailer as well as for a preliminary task.

• Online - The final product of my productions and preliminary tasks are uploaded online using YouTube as the main platform to engage with the audience. The website I created using www.wix.com also available online in order to captivate the audience through a variety of marketing strategy. I uploaded the original soundtrack online using SoundCloud and embedded to my blog.

• I saved my trailer footage on school’s iMac as well as hard drive as a back up in case if I accidentally lose all the footage in iMac.

Evaluation• There are various different presentation websites

that I could use to make my evaluation presentation more appealing. I used Prezi, Emaze and Venngage and SlideShare the most. These websites have a variety of themes that suits my productions genre.

• As for analysis of my productions, I took screenshot of my editing process then I can analyse it more clearly on my blog with the support of images.
