Comparison of preliminary front cover and contents page as well as Music Magazine front cover and contents page. Question 7. My preliminary task portrays a simple black and white background. This is contrasted with my front cover even though Ive used a black and with background I have changed the levels which helps bring a more stylish finish to the overall front cover. Not only did I adjust the colour of the background but I also changed the location. This was purely for editing purposes as I felt it would easier working on a blank background. The brick wall in my Music Magazine conforms more to a rock genre as unlike the prelim it does not include any unneeded Mise en Scene, adding a professional veneer. The overall costume applied to each of the models has been changed. In the prelim the model was just wearing a long sleeved T shirt whereas the subject in my Music Magazine is seen wearing a parker coat and a Che Guevara beret, indicating that the content will edgy and Rock n Roll. The uses of more appropriate cover lines such as Green days Exclusive U.S Tour Report, when compared to one of my prelim cover lines all new School radio. Highlighting my better understanding of the codes and conventions when addressing a particular genre. The colour of the cover lines has also been adjusted to blende in better with the background, as the green seems to fade in with the black and white. I have also changed to angle that photos were taken at. My Prelim was taken at relatively basis mid-shot, whereas my Music magazine was taken at a low angle portraying the model as powerful to the reader.

The masthead of both pieces differentiate in terms of font size and design. The front I chose in my prelim is one that is simple located in word. Whereas my Music Magazine front cover uses a more eye catching font and fits in well with the rock genre. I adjusted the size of the title as well as the spacing between the letters, this is in order to present reader with a must more noticeable masthead.
