VIRTUS & SCREENING ONE

The Diocese requires that all volunteers who work within the parish go through this training.

So if you volunteer for any Ministry and have any contact with children, elderly, sick or vulnerable adults you must be Virtus trained and have done Screening One.

Virtus is focused on safe environment and protecting children but, in this day and age the focus has broadened to the elderly, sick and vulnerable in our parishes and campuses. When you sign up for Virtus at www.virtus.org, you begin a screening process through Screening One. Some of you may have virtus training but not a Screening One which we will soon fix.

If you have questions please contact Patty Trail, in the Office. Thank you in advance for signing up for this valuable class.

Church Work Day

Life Teen THANKS

St. Luke Parish

For their support of our

Homeless Awareness Month

We learned the facts and misconceptions surrounding homelessness in the United States,

and the importance of recognizing that the homeless need to be treated with love & dignity,

just like everyone else!

We collected 2,400 plastic grocery bags (goal was 900!), over 700 toiletry items & 80 linen items!

We were overwhelmed by your generosity!

Special thanks to the Knights that watched over us as we experienced a “homeless” night.
