1. Do I need to register?
Yes, please register online at https://www.suburbanorthodox.org/event/semichas-chaver-zman2.
2. I’d like to participate, what are the commitment requirements?
When signing up, you are committing to complete one zman/semester. The zman will begin on Monday, April 12. There are a limited number of spots available; please verify yourability to commit to the full semester before registering.
3. What will the chaburah be studying?
Each zman will cover a different topic. This zman, we will continue in Hilchos Shabbos(with focus on Borer, Milabeyn, Makeh B’Patish and a number of other melachos).
4. What happens at the conclusion of each semester?
Upon completion of each topic, there will be a written exam, and all who pass will receive acertificate signed by Rav Shmuel Silber, Rav Hershel Schachter, and Rav Shlomo Amar.
5. How can I prepare for the exam?
A written review will be sent out following each class.
6. What if I have to miss a class?
If circumstances arise and you will not be able to attend a particular week, recordings willbe available upon request from the shul office.
7. Can I join the class via Zoom?
The goal of the Semichas Chaver Program is to form a chevra bound by a common pursuitof growth in learning.This “in-person” piece is an integral part of the design of the program.
