Still have symptoms? We get it. From changing your diet and exercising, to trying fiber, laxatives, and other prescription medications, sometimes these treatments don’t address symptoms of infrequent bowel movements the way you want.

That’s where Motegrity could help.

Select Important Safety Information

Before taking Motegrity, tell your healthcare provider (HCP) about all of your medical conditions, including if you:

• have or have had depression, suicidal thoughts or actions, or mood problems

• have kidney problems. Your HCP may give you a lower dose of Motegrity

• are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if Motegrity will harm your unborn baby

• are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Prucalopride can pass into your breastmilk. Talk with your HCP about the best way to feed your baby if you take Motegrity.

Tell your HCP about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

How does Motegrity work differently?Unlike other prescription medications for CIC, Motegrity works differently by enhancing natural movements of the colon muscle, known as peristalsis.

Why my colon muscle? Good question! It’s thought that CIC

may be caused by insufficient movement of the colon muscle.

Colon muscle contraction

Good to know! Motegrity is a “prokinetic” medicine because it promotes colonic movement

5What can I expect when taking Motegrity?Motegrity was studied in six clinical studies with 2,484 adults with CIC. About 3 in 4 were women and white, with an average age of 47 (ranging from 17 to 95). While your results may vary, here’s how Motegrity was shown to help:

• Motegrity was shown to help normalize the number of complete bowel movements (BMs) per week for adults with CIC. By normalize, we mean averaging at least 3 complete BMs per week over 12 weeks.

• People who started Motegrity in 6 clinical trials had their first complete BM from 7 to 15 days sooner, on average, than those taking a placebo (ranged from 1.4 to 4.7 days with Motegrity compared with 9.1 to 20.6 days with placebo).
