3.2 Area „1“ Project Data

3.2.1 Create project – with startup wizard at application start The startup wizard is opened when starting SIMARIS CFb.

Advice: Tick „Open read only? The project cannot be modified.“ The opened project cannot be edited. It can only be read and output can be created for the project.

3. Mark “Create new project“ and click button “Next“

3.2.2 Create Project – without startup wizard in the running application 1. Projects can be created via the menu „project“ „Create new project“ or

via the button „New project“.

3.2.3 Create plant (product) You can edit the following products with SIMARIS CFb 22: When selecting the product SIVACON S4, you are supported with configuration rules in the configuration of switchboard SIVACON S4. When selecting bill of material, you may compile parts and devices without configuration rules from the electronic catalogue as a simple bill of material.

3.2.3.1 Create Plant (product: SIVACON S4') with Product Wizard

1. Select product ‚SIVACON S4’ from the tab „Products“ and drag it with mouse button hold to the right onto the project node or make a double click on the desired product.

3. Define the plant in the mask in the product wizard. 4. Confirm with the button “Finish“.

5. The product is added as plant under the product node in the tab “Project Structure“. You may

add as many plants as you want. SIMARIS CFb switches to section “2“Configuration. At product ‚SIVACON S4’ you may define plant properties here and start with the configuration.

3.2.3.2 Create Plant (product: bill of material)

1. Choose the product ‚bill of material’ from the tab products and drag it with mouse button hold to the right to the project node or double-click on the desired product.

2. The product will be created as plant under the project node in the tab “Project Structure“. You may create any amount of plants.

3.2.3.3 Create Plant (Product: SIVACON S4) without Product Wizard

This proceeding is required when the product wizard is set off.

1. Choose the desired product from the tab “Products” and:

a) drag it with mouse button hold to the right or b) double-click on the product

2. The product will be inserted as plant under the project node (main node) in the tab “Project structure”. You may add as many plants as you want.

3. Define the plant data in the section plant data. By marking the project node, you can define the project data.

4. After completing steps 1 – 3 mark a plant in the project node and click on area 2 Configuration or

double-click on the desired subproject. In area „2“ Configuration, you can design the plant.

3.3 Area „2“ Configuration The plant can be edited in area „2“ Configuration.

3.3.1 Disambiguation for the Configuration of SIVACON S4 • Templates are all objects, you can place and edit in the plant. That also includes cubicles, installation kits/compartments, feeders/devices, busbars and free bills of material/- positions. You will find these in the left tab “Templates” in the upper area • Plants related templates are templates that are place-able in a cubicle and already created/edited by you in the current plant. You find these in the left tab „Plants specific templates”. The plant related templates can be changed in the right tabs “List” and “Front view”. Changes in a plant specific template effect all other placed objects in this template.

The column amount shows 2 values: placed amount/desired amount. The placed amount is calculated by the application. The desired amount can be changed by you in the tab “List” in the appropriate column. • The properties window (characteristics window) opens amongst other things if you make a double click on an object in the right tabs „List“ or „Front view“. If you open the try by clicking „ “, in the left area of this window, you will see the bill of material of the current object. In the right part of the window, you assign the characteristics of this object.

• The bill of material of an object can be found in the left part of the properties window. It may consist of mechanical parts, devices or any bills of material positions7order numbers inserted by you. If you mark a bill of material position, you see characteristics of this position in the right area of the window. There you can change amount and order number of this bill of material position. • Plant objects (structure elements) are objects of the plant structure (plant, cubicle, compartment, feeder, free bill of material).

3.3.2 Check State of the Configuration The state informs if a configuration is complete and consistent. The symbols at the characteristics or the structure nodes are of the following meaning:

3.3.3 Define Plant Characteristics of SIVACON S4

The edition of any plant SIVACON S4 starts with the definition of the plant characteristics. Double click the plant node in tab „List“ or the scale in tab „Front view“. The properties window is opened. Now you can define the plant characteristics. Therefore, click into the white cells and select a value from the drop down list or insert values. The plant characteristics are maximum versions they can be changed partly per cubicle. Only after defining all characteristics, the configuration of the plant can start or be continued.

3.3.4 Configuration SIVACON S4 – Tab „List“ In the tab „List“, you see the electrical feeders that can be configured. Advice: The plant characteristics have to be fulfilled completely to be able to create feeders! The properties window can be opened by double-clicking on the plant node in the tab „List“or with a double-click on the scale in tab “Front view”.

1. Select feeder from the left tab “Templates” and drag it with the mouse button hold to the right onto the table column feeder.

2. The properties window opens up and the characteristics of the feeder are shown. Define the open characteristics until all yellow and red icons disappeared.

3. There is still a yellow icon at the feeder node in the left area “bill of material“ in the properties window. The yellow icon at the device means that the device order number is not complete, yet. Define the device with the order number wizard. Therefore, mark the device, open the context menu and select the function „order number wizard“. (see: Order number wizard / Defining devices ) Repeat Steps 1-3 to insert further types of feeders. In the area „bill of material“, a free bill of material can be inserted, in which can again be inserted free bills of material positions (e.g. auxiliary devices). Mark the feeder node in the open properties window. Select the template for the free bill of material from tab „Templates“ and drag it to the feeder node with the mouse button hold. In this bill of material folders, you can combine any mount of devices or parts from the catalogues without configuration rules.

4. To place a feeder several times, you can raise the amount. Mark the desired feeder and change the quantity in the column "Quantity" in the feeder list.

5. To get a placement propose for the plant, click on the push button „auto placement“ and answer the

questions of the wizard. When the automated placement was finished, the application switches to the tab „Front view“. The feeder or the feeders have been inserted automatically into one or more cubicles. The free bill of material created in step 3 is arranged in all placements of this feeder template. Advice: Existing cubicles will be deleted at a new auto placement.

3.3.5 Configuration SIVACON S4 – tab „Front view“ In the tab „Front view“ you see the visual arrangement of the configuration.

3.3.5.1 Example of a manual plant edition Advice: The plant characteristics (open window with double-click on plant node) have to be filled in completely!

1. Select a cubicle template from the tab „Templates“ and drag it to the left in the white area with the

mouse button hold.

2. Define the unevaluated characteristics in the properties window until all yellow icons disappeared. As soon as all cubicle characteristics are defined completely, you can insert feeders.

3. Select a feeder template from the tab „Templates“ and drag it to the cubicle with the mouse button hold. Define the unevaluated characteristics in the properties window until all yellow icons disappeared from the tab properties.

4. If there is still a yellow symbol at the feeder, you have to complete the appropriate device order numbers. See: Order number wizard/ defining devices

5. In the area „bill of material“ a free bill of material can be inserted, in which can be inserted free bills

of material positions again. Open any structure node (project, cubicle, feeder). Select from the tab “Templates” the template for a free bill of material and drag it onto the structure node in the properties window with the mouse button hold. To add products of the free bill of material, please see chapter „Search in the Catalogue“ tab catalogue/Search in the catalogue

3.3.5.2 Grid placement in tab „Front view“ The feeders can be placed directly to the desired position in the cubicle according to the given raster and also be moved or copied.

Grid placement means: • Feeders can be placed precisely • the grid snap in of the feeder is top left • Above, below, on the left and on the right of the placed feeder

may appear spaces. • The Millimeter-display below the cubicle name shows the sum

of all unplaced areas. If you want to move the feeders within the field, you have to make way for them before.

3.3.6 Order number wizard / defining devices After having defined the characteristics of a feeder when processing the plant, the system proposes an order number for the main device. Very often this number is incomplete. It contains question marks then and/or periods and a yellow icon at the order number.

1. Open the feeder’s bill of material on the left in the properties window mark incomplete devices and

open the context menu (right click). Click on “order number wizard”.

2. The wizard opens an extract from the catalogue “Device selection Step 1” and shows results for the

device.

With the pushbutton “Next”, you reach the “device selection step 2”.

Advice: Attend the marked node in the catalogue tree. The result list will change when changing the mark.

3. The white characteristic values can be changed by you. ‘Click into a white line and select a value from the drop down list. Options can be selected by marks (tick).

4. The dotted line disappeared, that means the order number is complete. Click on the push button “Finish”. Herewith, the order number is complete and the yellow icon the configuration disappears.

3.3.7 Tab Catalogue /Search in the Catalogue You can add any amount of order numbers from the catalogue (e.g. auxiliary circuit devices) to the bill of material of an object.

1. Insert a search item to the textfield in the section catalogue tree and start the search with the return key.

2. The catalogue opens in respective area.

3. In the section „product characteristics“, the results can be limited by selecting characteristic values.

Therefore, click into the white line and select a value from the drop-down list. 4. To take over the desired product into your configuration, select it from the result list and click on

„Transfer. Advice: If a mechanical part or device is marked in the properties window, the order number of the marked object will be overwritten. If a structure element is marked in the properties window (the plant, a cubicle, a feeder …), a new bills of material position with the selected order number is created there.

3.3.8 Configuration Product ‘Bill of Material’ – Tab Tree

1. Activate the tab catalogue on the left to select devices or mechanical parts in bill of material. (See: Tab Catalogue /Search in the Catalogue)

2. Take over your selection by holding the left mouse button or the button „Transfer“. 3. Activate the tab “Templates” on the left to create free bills of material positions.

3.4 Area „3“ Calculation

3.4.1 Calculation – Component Costs

4 1. In the component cost, mounting additions and time correction factors can be maintained and

mounting times 1 and 2 (in the table) can be adapted, that impact the mounting costs. 2. Find out the copper note today and overwrite the value in the digit field. The copper additions

referring to the base value 150€/100kg are updated. 3. Order numbers that do not have an L-price are highlighted in orange in the column „Net costs“. At

this position, the net costs for the order number can be maintained.

4. The total costs of the plant. Advice: The calculation formulae can be taken from the Help of SIMARIS CFb.

1. In the section “separated additions”, further additions and deductions for the sum costs can be

maintained.

2. In the section “Customer price”, additions and deductions for cash discount, special constructions, transport etc. can be maintained. Advice: For the calculation of the prices, the order of the insertion (from top to bottom) is important. For moving the lines, use the button of the section “Customer price”. 5

3. The metal addition results from the copper weight of the configured parts, the daily copper note, that

you set in the component costs, and the base value 150€/100kg.

4. The customer price of the configured plant. Advice: The calculation formulae can be taken from the Help for SIMARIS CFb.

3.5 Area „4“ Documentation

1. Tick the plants on the left that shall be output.

3. Edit the settings. Click on the pen and make the entries. The information appears in the output.

4. Start the output.

The outputs from the section Documentation and output all-in-one document will be issued as rtf-file. The outputs from the section Views will be issued in a drawing program. The outputs from the section reports and lists as well as edit-able report will be issued as csv-file.

5. With a profile you can quickly access a selection of outputs. 6. Tick any selection of outputs. To create a profile click on the push button “Save”. Chose a name for

your profile and click OK.

Output mode: Editable report This output mode creates a list of project information that you may compile yourself. Therefore, you use the settings of this report.

A dialogue opens for selecting the desired structure and output columns.

Here you select the structure of the result: E.g. if you tick „plant“and „cubicle“, all devices and mechanical parts per cubicle will be displayed.

Here you can select, if your report shall contain devices or only mechanical parts.

With the button “start output” you generate the report.

These ticks impact the columns of the report. The report generates only those columns that received a tick before.
